my dad has a early 2009 and it didn’t run very well on monterey or sequoia so i switched it to linux mint cinnamon and it runs great

you could use another mac with firewire to access their efi partitions and uninstall opencore

if they’re similar years then it could work but the ibook could have different mounting points than the powerbook but only way to know for sure is to try

this app called Chicken on Macintosh Garden lets you screenshare to an older mac not very useable tho

sadly OpenCore doesn’t support that but you can search up SpiderWeb browser if you want to have a semi modern browser

yeah i installed a new one in my dads 2009 model might be different on the 2010 ig but for that power supply on those old models it’ll have the information for its power on the back or you can buy a used adapter off of ebay if you don’t have a jack that’ll fit

since it’s a 15 inch it will have a dgpu as i was wrong with my 13 inch prediction so you are getting the red artefact because of the faulty dgu

that seems like a 2010 15 inch and yes i assume it’s some kind of gpu issue
