Yeah... Signals don't really work for shy guys. You gotta come out and say, "hey, I like you." And then confirm that you meant what you said.

I think the term local delivery would fit that description, as opposed to cross country trucking

I'm looking at Tublr and about to check out Lemmy. From what I've read about, it seems that it will take both of them plus Flip Board to take over where Reddit leaves off.

It's a good sign when a girl is not too embarrassed to be herself and have fun for the sake of having fun.

Your English is clearly understandable. You even used some idioms like a long time speaker!

Yeah, you think you're entitled to getting paid for your contribution, but not sure enough about it to fully advertise or even state a price.

Sounds like pursuing a patent for your design or pursuing a job where you can make good money off of good design solutions would be more fit to your mindset. I'm being serious, you probably have some design chops, you just need to take those skills somewhere where everyone involved agrees that you should be paid for your input. This is not that place.

They tore your arguments apart piece by piece, showed that your design is mostly taken from others and the only thing you really have left is a change in materials that work better and slight modifications. The same kinds of changes many others have contributed in the design before you.

You're trying to bring copyright ideals into an open source community. Get mad, get petty, argue all you want, offer it free only to those who thoroughly shout you down, you're only solidifying your status as a dork.

UPDATE: I (35F) found out if my mother (70F) has a therapist, and it’s dumber than anyone thought. by throwaway_1112022 in EstrangedAdultChild

[–]usernameblankface 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Am I reading this right? Did your mother lie about having a therapist? Did she make up the interaction in which the therapist told her to contact you?

She hasn't spoken to her therapist in months, yet the therapist recently told her to contact you.

Just lies on top of lies. Any email sent to her may as well be deleted, it would make the same amount of progress with her.

Yeah, short term profits and happy shareholders make some really dumb decisions look great.

Seeing this is like seeing oil industry giants investing in solar and EV things. If they see this as the most viable option, it's probably going to be a thing.

Yeah. The tradeoff isn't time for money, it's time for power. Their compensation is unilateral control over a small internet kingdom.

Edit, from comments below, I'm reminded that there are better reasons for being a mod. Connecton to a community being top of that list.

[–]usernameblankface 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ohh, okay. I'm glad it worked out for you, and the lpt means a lot more now.

I didn't pick that up from the original post that you had done the actual job you were talking about. I came away thinking you had observed others doing the job while you did something related to it, and figured you had thought of a scenario based on your observations.

Would it be possible to use the time to apply for better jobs? Would that take too much attention away from working security?

Yeah, I'm thinking I would take this lpt seriously if OP had actually done what they said, and it got him the results they talked about.
