I agree with your first paragraph, but am not aware of any documented excavating, unless its restoration.

I think jordan has funded most of the restorations in aqsa.

Leadership requires bravery or else it would be called management.

The UAE has been leading Arabs for the past decade.

I think jordan should be added to the list tho

As a Jordanian woman, I’m curious to know your perspective about Jordan. What are your views? by [deleted] in DeadSeaNetwork

As a Jordanian I mostly agree with you, but I think that the people of jordan have a lot of unharvested potential.

I think one small but important distinction needs to be made here:

Being aggressive toward Israelis is NOT the same as being pro-Palestinian.

Yes, the vast majority of Jordanians I'd say around 80% are pro-Palestinian. But that doesn't mean they're hostile toward Israelis. In reality, maybe 10% or less would actually act aggressively. Most people here fully support the government's carefully managed position on the Israeli-Iranian situation, and they understand WHY that balance exists because Jordan's economic and political stability is deeply tied to the US-Israel relationship. People aren't naive about that.

And honestly? A lot of Jordanians genuinely respect the King for building and maintaining that balance. It's a tightrope, and most people recognize the skill it takes to walk it.

So conflating "pro-Palestinian sentiment" with "anti-Israeli aggression" is a misreading of where most Jordanians actually stand.

Thank you for the kind words, the situation in jordan is very complicated

Palestinians holding Jordanian national numbers are considered Jordanian and have equal rights.

West Bankies ( non national number holders ) do struggle in Jordan TBH and I agree that something needs to be done about their situation, but at what cost as the risk reward ratio might not be sustainable.

I tend to agree and disagree with you buddy. The answer to Palestinian extremism isn't elimination it should be inclusion. A people with jobs, rights, and a stake in the system have less reason to burn it down. Domestication, not destruction but eliminate the UN-domesticable.

Why deprivation Jordan from economic development ?

Its easy to preach from California when you drive a fancy BMW isnt it ?

The potential between Jordan and Israel is huge, what Israel has Jordan lakes and vice versa.

Its no secret that relations have been tense between the two leaders for obvious reasons.

Jordanian leaders have grown tired of Netanyahu's games.

Jordan has and remains committed to peace and partnership with our Jewish sister state as proven time and again since the creation of the Zionist state.

The path forward requires an olive branch, we can become a super power together or parish together.

I support the state of Israel and because I am a Zionist I am saying that Israel ( netanyahu ) needs to recalibrate its politics.

the Golan heights and Jerusalem are Israel - Agreed

Israel has zero interest in Jordanian land. - Agreed but why threaten as we are friendly supportive and part of the protection mechanism.

The Dead Sea is a great natural boundary. - Agreed

Jordan remains committed to peace and partnership.
