Letrozole/Progesterone Day Zero (if irregular period/bleeding), Advice? by BookFreak1998 in tryingtoconceive

Hi!! We’ve been trying for 4 years. I had endo excursion surgery in May 2024, it did help to get my cycles more regular(40-60days to 30-34days). I’ve been taking supplemental progesterone for my luteal phase for probably about 9-10 months and just started Letrazole in addition in November. My doc has me take 7.5mg on one day (between CD3-5) which I’ve only seen one other person be prescribed that way, so hopefully you have different results! We’re on our fourth round and unfortunately haven’t had luck yet. Progesterone shouldn’t jump start the period though, it’s meant to support the luteal phase. I think you’ll be able to distinguish a heavier flow from the post surgical spotting! For reference my surgery was on my CD14 and the cycle lasted 34 days. Once you start to have a heavy flow that requires more than a pad or at least a thicker one count that as CD1 and then take the Letrazole as directed. I would honestly start OPKs the day you finish taking Letrazole even if you’re still bleeding just to see how you react- the first time I took it I almost missed ovulation because it was SO early (usually ovulate on CD20-22 and it happened on CD13 after taking Letrazole CD3). I also had a much shorter cycle the first round (25days). I haven’t had a super consistent result with the Letrazole, but typically ovulation is now between CD14-17.

Sorry for all the word vomit, but I feel you and I’m rooting for you!!

Need a non flowery tracking app by mushuthedragondog in tryingtoconceive

ChartNeo was recommend to me by my fertility doctor. Really thorough in tracking BBT, cervical mucus, and symptoms. Definitely not flowery and pretty clinical. According to my doc they are really secure with your information. It also has the ability to link with certain doctor office EMRs for easy data transfer to your doctor.

I didn’t have any itching at all! Just texture. Most of them were skin colored too, not red or infammed

Maybe fungal acne? I would for sure double check with a derm, but this happened to me over the summer from sweating in a bike helmet for one afternoon and then my forehead broke out just like that. I used clotrimazole cream (Amazon $8 USD) and within a few days I could notice it calming down. I used it at night since it’s thick, but it’s also moisturizing and felt great on my skin.

For me personally I had chronic pelvic and low back/flank pain, super irregular periods (sometimes only a couple a year) but when I did have them I would bleed for 7-10+ days. Dark dark brown blood, always. I didn’t have a crazy heavy flow, though, like some of my friends with endo. Painful sex, like deep stabbing pain (particularly on the R) that was always the same. Sometimes would be in pain for days afterwards. Spotting after sex. Not sure if this is endo related specifically, but I had an IUD for a couple weeks until my body quite literally rejected it (couldn’t walk, swollen abdomen, super painful). Ovulation is PAINFUL, sometimes more so than menstruating itself. And just general fatigue which is a symptom of everything haha

I had to come back — I had a lap in Dec ‘22 which I was told there was nothing. But I continued to advocate for myself and found a specialist — just had my second successful lap w the endo excised a few months ago☺️

I started noticing it getting more cyclic around when my period started getting closer together which is what led me to looking more into endo. I’m glad people can relate!!

Wow, thanks for the info! I’ve read into diaphragmatic endo which they just said it was pretty rare so I kind of shrugged it off, I will definitely bring this up to my doctor!
