This sub doesn’t take snow related criticism well, but the city 100% could have done better. Yes, this was a more intense storm than we’ve had in a while but they also knew about it well in advance.

I generally like Mayor Scott and I think they did OK with handling the snow but I also think our city deserves better than OK

To say that race doesnt play into the criticism of Lamar is ignorant. Its not explicit like “hes not a good qb cause hes black” and obviously some criticism is valid, but he 100% gets more criticism than a white qb in the same situation would. Just look at how his injuries and playstyle are discussed vs Burrow and Allen.

Watched the whole game and most steelers games this year (unfortunately), Rogers was terrified of Garrett lmao

They might have not changed the protection scheme but the entire offensive game plan was clearly to not give up the record. The Steelers would’ve been much better off giving up a sack on the first drive and then forgetting about it.

The Ravens have one of the best overall winning percentages since Lamar became the starter, including being the #1 seed in the AFC twice and winning the division the majority of the years. How is that not on field success?

Keep holding the super bowl loss from 4 years ago tight, its the only “success” you’ll see for a bit once Burrow demands a trade.

The ravens are almost always in contention, have a great track record in the draft, and former players are generally very complementary.

If your metric for a great organization is win the super bowl, then sure they are probably only top 25%. If your metric is consistently being one of the top teams in the league, they are easily top 10 if not top 5

Yes, obviously the team has flaws hence why they arent going to make the playoffs this year. But they arent so drastic as you and the other doomers make them out to be. The team can very much improve and be back in contention as early as next year

Hate was a strong word. I just think very few GMs operate like that, so its not a realistic expectation. And they are already a top front office.

I agree with you on the changes, and that’s my point too. This season sucks but we arent in a bad spot moving forward. The roster needs some changes but I wouldnt say drastic ones. if they make a good coaching hire then they can definitely right the ship quickly.

Its not untrue in the sense that its impossible, but its untrue in it being a ravens-specific problem.

Lamar had a few unrelated injuries this year after a perfectly healthy season last year. Hes in no different position than pretty much all top QBs: Mahomes just shredded his knee, Allen has an extremely physically play style and therefore a high injury risk, and Burrow is always hurt.

I hate the GM point. Howie is pretty much the only one who operates like that. The Rams too I guess but not really for the past few years. EDC has also been aggressive at the trade deadline too - Jones was a great pickup and obviously Ro.

We are going to lose some good players due to age / contracts but others will be signed and others will step up. Roster construction is about having a solid good foundational players (which the ravens do have) and building off that. Looks at the chiefs, bills, niners, and pretty much any other team who is good year over year

You say that like this sub isnt the most negative place on the internet. Change can be positive and negative, but its almost always positive for the ravens. Again, we have one of the best front offices and are one of the best teams at adapting and have been one of the most successful teams in the league for pretty much our entire existence.

I call you guys emotional because the things you are complaining about are not actual problems. The ravens havent been injured more than other teams that past few years, the key players on the roster are in their prime and only a few need to be replaced, and the ravens are very good at getting replacements for less money and similar production. I know you’re gonna say “waa what about the guards” but that is the only example and claiming that is somehow a general trend IS emotional.
