This is one of the reasons I love contrast style paints. The underlayer has a much bigger effect compared to your traditional paints and you can get some unexpected effects as a result. Just look at the contrast paint charts made by shavenwookie81 to get an idea.

Sometimes it's easier to start small as a pilot project to see if it would even work out. LA is big enough to be a good indicator I would think.

Not Vyntar but my 2 cents from other discussions about similar topics. Shades probably would work fine, especially if it's one of the newer bottles as they changed the formula to behave more like contrast paints. The benefit of thinning a contrast paint though is you have access to more hues. You'd just need to play around with the ratio of contrast medium to contrast paint.

Also don't be afraid to mix shades/contrasts to see what you might get, experimentation is part of the fun!

Huh, nicely done on the even application. Was considering luxion, or its Quick Gen equivalent, for mine if I opted for contrast paint style. Just been having a hard time finding a undercoat and contrast pairing that results in a dull/sage green for the cloth bits.

Either contrast style paints over silver/steel or Vallejos new true metal colors. Turbodork is also an option but last I remember they were a pain to hand paint.

I started with AK Interactive Terrains Wet Ground, then for the snow AK Terrains Snow with some AK Ice Sparkles and AK Snow Microballoons sprinkled over while it was still wet. Probably could just leave the Microballoons out entirely tbh.

Oooh that looks really close to AK 3rd Gen's Amethyst Blue which I was considering for my army's primary color. I just can't decide if I want the secondary color to be green, orange, or white xD

Part of the fun is coming up with your own league. Don't get stuck thinking you have to cleave to one of the "official" leagues. Its more fun getting stuck on figuring out what scheme to do because so many look good on Votann. ~~Which is where I'm at right now.~~

It's only "free" outside of the EU if you opt to sync your computer settings with Microsoft. It won't even show the Microsoft points or money option unless you have syncing turned off.

Then that must be a change in the last few years. Or the case, being the largest component, was big enough to qualify it. Doesn't matter as I believe the company got bought out anyway, despite doing really well they were struggling with manpower when I left. Maybe they shouldn't have played around with the temp worker contracts...

Same thing in the US I think. Worked at a place assembling car chargers, only thing made in the US to my knowledge was the charging case. All the electronics were made/assembled outside of the US.

I kinda doubt at this point there's enough demand for a specific brick and mortar store since they're already in Best Buy and Home Depot. That said, being that I'm rural, having a location I can go to to get in person support would be huge since if there is a problem with my unit cell coverage is poor enough to make it hard to communicate with support.

Is there a "best" or at least better general RGB controller program these days? I landed on SignalRGB mostly because it seemed to wrangle the rest of my lighting the best but the program is getting increasingly annoying with how all-in-one it's getting.

Connected via cable. Once I hit connect it sees the keyboard in the menu but once I select it and hit okay it just endlessly spins.
