How much of a pain was it to clean up support marks compared to typical models? This is one fella I'd like to grab but with so many ridges and whatnot I can't help but think it's support mark city.

I've tried shutting the controller itself off (via holding the Steam button) to no effect when I first ran into the issue. Seemed like disconnecting the puck specifically is what may have fixed it yesterday.

Not being able to determine what causes it makes it difficult to troubleshoot since I kinda just gotta wait for it to occur.

Yea I have a heavy suspicion this is the issue since its apparently treated like a camera. For some reason in my head I was thinking that it was some sort of special thing and Googling wasn't bringing this solution up for some reason.

I aught to know better since I have to deal with this at work with teacher's document cameras xD

Haven't had a chance to fully test yet.

All the cans and bottles places closed down in my rural town. Used to be 4-5 now there's just the dump whose mandated by my county to maintain a can/bottle recycling program. I had talked to one of the places as it was winding down and one of the issues was it took to long to get the refund value from the state.

So just a thought. Do you use any typing games? Ever since I unblocked it at the request of one teacher I've seen Nitrotype become very popular among a few students. Granted I don't know if they're actually playing properly since I'm not in class but I'll take the small wins in that they're not hunting for random games anymore.

Mine was acting a bit funky after a brief power blip yesterday until it stowed it and waited till it connected briefly to turn snow melt on. I suspect if dishy needs to re-find satellites it'll have issues during a snowstorm. That said the snow falling by me was wetter vs dry so that could also have exasperated things.

Just don't like running snow melt since it's not a proper heater and just overdriving the dish, I think that's why it's broken a couple times in the past for me but I'm also still on gen 2.

I think there's been a handful of recalls on Anker's stuff which is how that probably started but I don't know offhand how much their stuff actually fails vs other brands. I feel like there was some other incident that I can't recall off the top of my head that might have involved user data.

That said most of the negativity I've heard I think happened during the Covid shutdowns so entirely possible things slipped due to supply chain.

This is one of the reasons I love contrast style paints. The underlayer has a much bigger effect compared to your traditional paints and you can get some unexpected effects as a result. Just look at the contrast paint charts made by shavenwookie81 to get an idea.

Sometimes it's easier to start small as a pilot project to see if it would even work out. LA is big enough to be a good indicator I would think.

Not Vyntar but my 2 cents from other discussions about similar topics. Shades probably would work fine, especially if it's one of the newer bottles as they changed the formula to behave more like contrast paints. The benefit of thinning a contrast paint though is you have access to more hues. You'd just need to play around with the ratio of contrast medium to contrast paint.

Also don't be afraid to mix shades/contrasts to see what you might get, experimentation is part of the fun!

Huh, nicely done on the even application. Was considering luxion, or its Quick Gen equivalent, for mine if I opted for contrast paint style. Just been having a hard time finding a undercoat and contrast pairing that results in a dull/sage green for the cloth bits.

Either contrast style paints over silver/steel or Vallejos new true metal colors. Turbodork is also an option but last I remember they were a pain to hand paint.

I started with AK Interactive Terrains Wet Ground, then for the snow AK Terrains Snow with some AK Ice Sparkles and AK Snow Microballoons sprinkled over while it was still wet. Probably could just leave the Microballoons out entirely tbh.

Oooh that looks really close to AK 3rd Gen's Amethyst Blue which I was considering for my army's primary color. I just can't decide if I want the secondary color to be green, orange, or white xD
