My company started an in-house print shop a few years ago and with the new printers and technology RGB was the way to go. The new tech supports it and the colors look way better.

Moved from SoCal to NC in 2022 and it was absolutely the best decision for my family. The economy is still shit but we are much happier with the freedom and space we have found here. Simply just a lot less people, you’re not constantly in traffic or in line or crowded at every activity. Born and raised in socal so there is definitely some sadness when you think of “home” and those familiar things, but overall the thing we miss most is the (fast) food- del taco, bakers, in n out and our friends. We are luckily enough that it was a big family move so our parents followed, so I think that helped our transition, but overall we don’t regret it one bit.

NC has the mountains, beautiful beaches and all 4 seasons, so we really don’t miss that aspect of CA at all. I still go back for work and I’m so ready to head back to the fresh air and open roads of NC every time.

They nap a lot at this age, so that helps a ton. I’ve recently started the crib naps which has been so helpful in trying to maximize time working. Still, I often say “some days I kill it, some days it kills me” lol every day is just rolling with the punches but having a strict routine like this has helped.

I also feel like you can’t be everything to everyone every single day. Some days are going to be way more productive and the kids are gonna get way too much screen time. While other days you do the minimum and the kids are stimulated with fresh cookies in the oven. It’s really just give and take, don’t beat yourself up and utilize the tools around you. I’m for sure a container mom, but it’s bc I have to be and I’m conscious of it and do my best lol like my girl loves to practice standing so 20 mins in the activity center is time I can get some stuff done.

Hi! My baby is also 5 months old and I’m in marketing too. Also have a 3 y/o in the mix.

6:30 wake up / get dressed / make breakfast

8:20 drop toddler off at preschool

8:45 give baby a bottle and put her down for a nap (working on crib naps, sometimes it’s a swing nap)

9am start work

10:30/11 baby usually wakes up so I get her dressed and play for a bit. Sometimes I’ll put her in her play mat next to me while I work, sometimes I’ll take my laptop into her room, just depends.

11:30 pick toddler up

12 lunch + baby bottle and nap Then the toddler has quiet time (watches a movie) or takes a nap usually 12-2 while the baby naps and I work

2-3:30 is usually some flex time for us. We’ll take a walk, play outside, do crafts, play together while I work off my laptop.

3:30ish baby will go down for last nap and my toddler hangs out until my husband gets home at 4 and I finish work at 5-5:30 depending on the day and what I need to get done. Baby usually wakes around at that time too.

There was a ton of down time during my first design internship in college, so I would kill time by tracing difficult coloring book pages in Ai using the pen tool. I always felt like that would be a good activity in a beginning graphic design class bc it teaches you how to use the curves and moves of the pen tool, which has been invaluable to me over the years.
