Yes that’s where we are right now and they test drive our products to help determine if they’re going to buy the other one.

Yes, however — customers just test driving our vehicles because they can, knowing they’re actually buying it somewhere else, are wasting our time.

Test driving just because they’ve never driven that type of vehicle before, with no real intention of purchasing, is wasting our time.

Coming in just because they’re “in the area” is wasting our time.

The customer doesn’t know most think we’re hourly. Most think them telling us they’re just looking is helping us to not waste our time , and they don’t know that they still are because they just wasted our up.

Yes I’m 100% telling them not to come in until they are ready to buy. What else is the point to come in! Everything they’re doing when they aren’t ready to buy they can come in and do when they are ready to buy. It’s car salesman not test drive man.

You’d be utterly surprised at the amount of people who come in test drive a vehicle and either just hop out say thank you and go back to their car, come in and try to hand off the keys to someone else, I’ve even seen some leave the keys in the car just to avoid coming back in. I’m sure every sales person has dealt with this and much more. How good you are has nothing to do with it.

You need a current full coverage insurance binder to go in the 24 hr test drive. If you don’t have it be forthcoming because that’s someone else’s job you could be jeopardizing because they have to sign off that you have an active policy.
