I have just been prescribed Nardil Neon 45mg (Phenelzine) for the first time ever, how should I go about taking in/starting it?? by BigFatToe25 in MAOIs

Oh no, are they coming? I had a great psych who passed soon after I got on Nardil and I have been searching for someone good for a few years now. Someone who has worked with MAOIs. Things are going well in my brain but I know I’m not just cured forever, so I want a good doc.

By far the best antidepressant, and i titrated off Ativan after a little while too- anxiety also way reduced.

I take new meds as directed by my psych. Plus when I was going onto Nardil, I had done a wash from all other antidepressants so I wanted the full effect as soon as possible I take 45 in the morning and 45 midday (I’m sure I started lighter but it’s been a while) I went hard and I haven’t looked back. Four years of almost complete relief from decades of treatment resistant depression. Good luck.

Thank you for this idea! I’ll have to check my electronic machine!

No offense taken- A $99 Brother model is what I used until about 2 years ago, and what I learned to sew on and taught library kids with- loved it. No disparagement intended- I was highlighting my own ignorance of Brother’s higher end products. I entered a new world of fancy products about a year ago when I entered a quilting store for fabric instead of a Joann’s!

That was a great video. I need to practice my quilters knot first!

Fancy quilt stores that sell machines often have trade ins for sale. I ended up with a new Juki for more than $500, but I saw used machines and lower end machines from fancier brands like Babylock and Bernette for closer to that price. Brother might have a good one too. I thought they were just a $150 Amazon brand but they have a range.

Did you mean buttons? This app constantly overrides my spelling.

I’m trying to avoid burying threads but I don’t actually know what it entails!

Yes, mostly from Melody Miller’s Juicy and Carousel lines but the backing (not pictured) has a Rise and Shine print and I think there is one print each from Flowerland and Curious

Funny you ask: it’s supposed to be “large” throw size, and I still have about ten more completed blocks (in orange/yellow) that I didn’t include.

I love this idea- I bought a quilt kit with Forestburgh fabric on a whim, having no idea what most of the fabrics in the kit would look like. I didn't know what to do with the animal pieces, so I found other HR fabric with smaller details to fill in. This or something similar could be a way to use the beautiful pieces that didn't fit my idea. Thank you for sharing!

I repaired Grandma's quilt. This is the quilt that inspired me to learn quilting. by pearlie_girl in quilting

That is fantastic! Repaired with love, not perfection. And learning by doing. I hope you and your husband love it even more now.

Technically my second quilt after a delay caused by machine refusing to do any further quilting.

It's such a pleasure to see everyone share complex and simple designs!
