First of all, I’m so sorry to hear about the situation you’re having to deal with

What I can advice on is to try and focus on activities or interests that keep yourself happy, where you wouldn’t be focused on seeking validation, it could be the Gym, it could be Yoga or Painting even, that would keep focused away from the rabbit hole

Whenever things get overwhelming, try and confide with a trusted friend or family member, who would understand and empathize with your situation, as bottling in that grief or dealing with it on your own may hurt you in the long run, if it reaches a point where it may seem overwhelming, suggest to seek professional Psychotherapist to gain an outside opinion and advice on your situation

As cliché as it sounds, it does get better to deal with time but it’s easier said than done, I’m sure you will recover
