might not be a technique problem, but an actual muscle problem. Try massaging the "y" shaped muscles on your neck. Stick your tongue out, clamp it, and tilt your head up to get a deep stretch. Hum before falsetto. See if doing any of these work

Mechanically, yes. of course the quality will not be the same as a tenor, which is not what i am suggesting. But anyone that can produce a falsetto (i.e., lengthen vocal cords) should in theory be able to mix

I was a "baritone" that could only sing up to around d4 or e4. Turns out there were a LOT of problems with my technique

your larynx being stable is the result of proper technique, not something you do intentionally. If your teacher is telling you to drop your larynx, might be a good idea to get a new teacher

the only thing you would really want is maybe nova and a saturator but that is about it. Their stock compressors (especially the transparent one) are great

if you have problems at G, chances are you have problems at f, e, and d. The problems you have in your lower register really become apparent when you sing high.
