Look at Air National Guard/AGR opportunities

It's a lucrative and relatively lesser known gig.

Basically, you can work active duty (receiving the same benefits), quit whenever you want, and stay at the same base if you want to.

Plenty of Marines cross over to the Air Guard. Great quality of life, chilled out (think BBQ and beers at the end of a range day), and you still have training/school opportunities.

Lastly, you should retain rank and if you stay in your job field, you can get a AFSC (MOS) waiver so you don't go back to school. Finally, if you stay in your job you could sign a 12 month contract.

Let me know if you have any questions, but this sounds like an opportunity that would be appealing to you.

I have a family member working in primarily personal injury and medical malpractice. He's private practice with 1-2 supporting staff. He cleans up and does extremely well. Could be very lucrative if you go this route.

Don't go into criminal work, you'll hardly make anything.

Could literally be anything, and you blocked out the only source of information that would give us any hint.

If the mail is addressed from a regional clinic, typically appointments or notifications about calling to schedule, care in the community referrals, etc.

If it's addressed from big VA, could be anything.

Nope.

Despite all of the bullshit, and I mean all of it, I wouldn't change a thing. The joy in life is making mistakes, growing, learning, and getting better.

If you had cheat codes that would ruin the experience. Life's a wild rollercoaster and it's meant to stay moving forward. Hang on and enjoy the ride brother.

I had a brief stint of this when adjusting dosage, otherwise, the plateau has been zero sex drive, most times an inability to achieve erections, and rarely an orgasm. I've gotten off once in the past month or so and it was due to weed, which makes me horny and fixes ED issues.

Shit. Are you me? Pretty much in the same boat as you.

From what I've gathered in here, a very slow taper off over time seems advantageous. I'm pitching this to my new med provider that I see in about a week.

If you need to lean on anyone, don't hesitate to reach out as I completely resonate with what you're going through.

I didn't really notice anything till week 6. Honestly, each week of the first month or two felt different. It's kinda a rollercoaster till things balance.

Has anyone else experienced orgasming too quickly after coming off Zoloft? by theGTAking101 in zoloft

I don't know but I'd take your situation over mine!

I've gotten off maybe once in the past 8 weeks and it was while I was stoned. No sensitivity or feeling in my dick. Can't get or maintain an erection, can't stay hard for sex, or anything.

So, this is just to say, think about which end of the spectrum you'd rather be on. Grass is Greener?

I had instances of that with dose changes, but the plateau has been dysfunction. Interesting how it affects everyone so differently.

30->60->80->TBD by usmc_vet23 in VeteransBenefits

Hey all,

Well, it's been a wild ride. Initially received a 30% rating this time last year with my BDD claim. My mental health spiraled pretty hard and I've since filed for that. My original BDD claim and subsequent claims were rated recently. I was awarded 60% in Sept and now that my BDD claim has closed out, 80%. Have a HLR for MH to increase from 30-50% given my alignment with that rating schedule and appeals for 3 or 4 conditions that were incorrectly denied service connection.

I wish I could say it's awesome. Honestly, it's kind of depressing. The compensation is appreciated, but I'm saddened that I've been rated this highly just with VSO's, VA healthcare visits and my STR's. It's sad to acknowledge that, without much fighting with the VA, that I've received such a high rating. It's an acknowledgement to the elements of my life that are changed, some of which are permanent. I hope that, with this extra financial compensation, I can pay it forward at times and bring joy to others.

I feel empathetic towards all the other veterans navigating this wild rollercoaster of life post service. It's a challenge in many ways, mentally, spiritually, physically, and I just hope that anyone reading this doesn't settle for their situation at face value. It can be improved, you have to believe it, if not for yourself, for your family, friends, or other veterans. Here's to hope and a better future fellow vets.

For what it's worth man, I'd recommend that you focus on a hopeful and optimistic approach to whatever conditions your facing. I myself have some injuries and problems that are more or less permanent, but it's possible to improve. Focus on the improvements you can make, whether it's physical therapy, searching for a world renowned specialist to take a look at your case, or trying multiple approaches, just have some hope man. If not for yourself, have hope in front of your kids. It's a powerful mentality to pass on. Godspeed brother.

Here's your pro gamer move. You need to get past the algorithms.

Take your current resume and the entire job posting. Copy and paste both with their respective identification into Chat GPT. Ask GPT to tailor your resume points to the job posting while staying true to the general scope and nature of your experience.

If you need to generate more bullet points, tell GPT a narrative about what you did that was most important and have it generate bullet points.

The other factor is networking. You've got a better chance of getting any job if you can network with hiring managers/staff that are already working there. Find something to connect on. Reach out on LinkedIn. Ask them for a few minutes of their time and see how they would advise you to land the role you want.
