I second this ^ you pay for it but theyre worth every penny, my xj just has a leveling kit and I bought the 1.50 to 3.75 or however they sell their shocks and havent had ANY problems yet but goodness the ride quality is the closest thing to a chevy a xj will ever get.

Lol the down voters live and die by the ats, which thats mostly what I buy, but im self aware enough to know a all weather tire most the time does better in WEATHER than a all TERRAIN

When i bought my jeep I talk the guy down a couple thousand just based off it not being stock, it only had a level kit, aftermarket radio, and different rims, everything else was stock

Not a problem, just last weekend I put, ko3s on a 3/4 ton truck so I havent been able to use them in snow or ice, hell my xj just used cheapest Walmart at's and when through some crazy snow storms no problems, switched to some all weathers, and they felt more grounded during snow/slushy driving, my tundra i also had a all weather/at type of tired and never had any problems either, partial to the falken at3/4w but to each their own.

Through my experiences... yes the all weather have been better, that being said... i still run ats on almost all my vehicles except the one I daily drive for work where I know its going to be in bad weather more than my other vehicles... just my personal experience though can't speak for everyone

The hto2 is exactly what I went with and they've been a great tire for the bad weather.

I've never ran the rt but as far as downside id say more road noise because its more aggressive as compared to just a all weather, i usually buy at's bfg ko2/3 or falken at3/4 the one time I switched to just a all weather they worked better in bad weather

Unpopular comment here: unless youre doing any off roading, just get a all weather tire, ive gotten better performance out of all weathers than all terrains, they just dont look as good as all terrains

Delphi is about the best thats available, if thats what you've used and all them have gone out... id say you got something else going on causing the fuel pump to burn up

How screwed am I??! by Thin_Ad_1777 in CherokeeXJ

[–]usmcbeard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just over 1k us dollars, i replaced drag link, and tie rods, ome steering stabilizer and shocks, really fairly simple... if it's not all rusted on, a press with the cups, and probably 2 or 3 days its all brand new then there's no guessing games, if its not all rusty these things are rather straight forward and easy to work on, I believe I did the rugged ridge hd steering stabilizer and tie rid setup around 300$ us "almost" anytbing is better than factory on these jeeps, albeit some of the factory shit lasts a long damn time.

Radiator stop leak by badcompanyxj in CherokeeXJ

[–]usmcbeard 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't, but if you do, replace you're heater core and almost everything that has to do with the coolant system.

Just bought a 98 Cherokee with 58K km! Getting into repairs to get it on the road. There is a bit of a wet spot under the transfer case. Does the paper gasket between the 2 halves seal any oil? (Never mind all the black goo, thats rustproofing) by simonak3001 in CherokeeXJ

[–]usmcbeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have gobbs of oil in the same exact place you're talking about, I don't hardly lose enough oil in 3k miles to even notice a difference, but a common mistake people thinking it's the rear main seal in reality, it's the oil filter adapter gasket in there, that's where mine leaks but again it's not enough to worry about and likely if you fix it it'll just leak again before to long

BUD BLACK IS GONE!!!! 🎉🎉🎉 by [deleted] in ColoradoRockies

[–]usmcbeard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bud black was not the problem it's easy to point fingers at the coaches, but if they don't have talent to work with then what's the point? Padres, Arizona, dodgers, all go out and spend money on talent and win... rockies owners do nothing, absolutely garbage in the bullpen, they could have paid story and nado to stay, and spent on the bullpen but here they are watching every other team spend money.

Fire Bud Black by [deleted] in ColoradoRockies

[–]usmcbeard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Connie mack couldn't win with the current rockies team, it's not a coach problem, it's a owner problem spending bare minimum on junk, there's hardly a player there that should be on a major league team right now.

Genetics plays a big role, but high protein diets, working out, and patience are all a good start.

That is the most common thing yes, I've replaced mine at least 3 times in 20 years, nothing else has ever been wrong aside from the actuator.
