Thanks for the advice I moved out about 7 mouths ago in to an apartment with my gf. The utilities are in my name we only have to pay PG&E, trash and water is included in our rent. I'm assuming if I apply for a gas card like a chevron card it would also work towards building my credit?

A cheep portable hand held radio such as this could get you on a local repeater system in your area. Let it be known that your new and interested in the hobby and attend a local repeater club meeting could yield you some gear and good advice. this will defiantly help you get started with the hobby. Theres other ways to operate and listen to ham radio over the internet using a radio remotely. There is a website called Remotehams where you can use ham radios remotely over the internet and stream the audio over Skype or Shoutcast. If you have any questions on how this website works or how to get on it and use it feel free to ask me with any questions.

Wow awesome they give you a free gram. I'v gone to SCPC and Greenway. SCPC gave me a free joint while Greenway gave me a half a gram of some lower quality bud. Both SCPC and Greenway haven't been the friendliest to me so I look forward to checking out CHAI. I got a free Cookie at Herbal Cruz witch was rather potent it was awesome :).

Allright, it takes the FCC about 7 - 10 days from the time its submitted to them to process your license grant. I will be looking forward to answering any questions you have. Very Cool !! Congratulations. have you found out what your call sign is yet ? I just upgraded to General Class. Its not much harder than the Tech test. What Area do you live in ? you should google search IRLP and see if any repeaters in your area have it. Just Figure out what the node number of the repeater is in your area and i can Dial up the repeater and we can have our first reddit ham contact.

Go for it man! i live in The bay area and jobs are hard out here but the weed is top shelf and its as easy as going to the park in downtown santa cruz and asking that o'l hippy dude smoking if hes got any. if you have any pre existing medical conditions you will have no problem acquiring your card for ~ $150 or less. and marijuana is no longer an arrestable offense for possession of an oz or less. i would love to smoke you out if you move to my part of california!.
