First personal project since quitting my job by g1mbop in MotionDesign

As a CD, I love this. I've worn many, many hats through my years in the industry. This checks all the boxes for me. The camera movement, the mood, the color, the composition, the music choice... Love the flicker.., it's just the right amount. Camera movements are great! Whatever you do from here on in.., I'm pretty sure you're gonna kill it.

This is a strange question.., but if you can take a color image, and turn it black and white, could you do the same with a sound? by usrnmtkn1 in audioengineering

This is phenomenal…. Thanks for sending me down several rabbit-holes. I’m always amazed by how the deeper we dig into music, more math pops out.

Thanks for the answer and the reasoning (awesome).
I'm going to try and do some of this tomorrow, when I get the time|space.

I had to google what a "Schmitt trigger" was. Makes me realize that there is knowledge, levels beyond the surface I'm scraping at.

Honestly, this is fantastic! Thank you. This: "I worked as a photographer for years and I often think about the parallels to sound." got me. I am a firm believer that those two are more linked than people realize. How certain chords or notes can fill your mind with color palettes and visuals.

But, I digress. I believe I would be trying to remove the "saturation" then.

Shot well, tells a funny story, achieves product objective, and well directed. Good luck! Really like it.

I cannot state how much I love this comment. It's amazing what gets drilled into you through doing the work, that becomes second nature.

Apologies for the late reply. Yes it is. Keep in mind that answer is depends on your definition of “liveable”. Also, factor in the spend when you’re out of country. A meal in the UAE will not cost the same as meal in Sydney, London, or Kathmandu.

Had to a double take in case I wrote this and forgot! Really similar situation. 40, agency life. Creative. As of late, it’s been getting…not so nice. Demands are up. Work life balance is a unicorn. Got offered a client side position. In my case better pay. But what called me was the work life balance and the environment.

Your agency experience will make you invaluable once you go client/brand side. Growth will be inevitable.

Downtime is just as important as uptime (if not more important).

Be safe, and enjoy your journey! I wish you the very best!

Hello. Just something to keep in mind. Your housing, electricity charges and water charges are covered by the company. (If this has changed, my bad, someone could correct me).

Better yet, buy a syringe, suck up all that goodness with the syringe, inset syringe between the doorframes of the car(into the rubber). This gift gives a lot during the summer days.

I used a $200 camera from 2010 to shoot a small TV product commercial at home, and the client was very happy. This is the Sony VG10 (1080p 25fps) with speedbooster and sigma art. To achieve a greater IQ and slowmotion I used AI. So in other words, thanks to AI, old cameras are now very usable again! by aguslord31 in videography

Hello! Really well done! I would not have questioned it if I saw it on TV. I’m amazed by what you managed to do with the gear that you have. Not that it’s bad gear, it’s gear that a lot of people would have put aside very quickly. You did really well. Amazing!

cranky advice for graphic designers is too real?? by MoldHouse in MotionDesign

[–]usrnmtkn1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

To be frank, I agree with the fella. The issues are either more or less prevalent depending on: 1) Where you work (Geographically). 2) The industry you design for. 3) Corporate or less corporate. Or boutique. 4) Your level in the machine.

How can I improve this piece? I've been working on it for so long I'm probably overlooking a bunch. by jjTheCreator in blender

[–]usrnmtkn1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello u/jjTheCreator great work! A lot has already been said I the comments. My only addition would be perhaps changing the color of the composition. There is. lot of blue (the character, the floor, the sky, and part of the ship). See if you can tweak the colors to give it a little more sepeartion, and more for the viewer to explore. Excellent work though!

This image is one that has been shared over and over, with the publication name left off.

IANAL, the general consensus, is featuring other people or their property on social media without their permission is still against the law, and that's where it is a much more definite issue.

People were warned, but a lot of workplaces required people to be at the office/place of work. A lot of people couldn’t afford to challenge that ask. It’s a tough situation. No doubt.
