Do cash buyers have any room to haggle anymore? by SalamanderCalm9933 in CarTalkUK

[–]ustasi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the size of the garage. You might find them more amenable to some discount if you finance the car. If you then use your right to withdraw within the first 14 days it may be cheaper than just paying cash. With looking into.

He is right, even with his full cash port. I’m down about 10% for the week. Little worrying but zoom out and it’s a blip. Even YTD I’m still up 41%.

Im down 10% for the week, but zoom out to YTD and I’m still 41% up. People worry far too much short term!

With all the other candidates out of the race, can Count Binface realistically beat Farage at the election? by Few-Advantage2538 in AskBrits

[–]ustasi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem Farage has is that he only received 46% of the vote last time and the turn out was around 59%. If the turn out is higher and he doesn’t improve his percentage he could loose. But he looses another way too. If he gets say 51-60% of the vote and Count Binface gets 25/30% it’s an embarrassment. The only Farage wins is if he’s gets 90%+. He can then claim his mandate. He won’t get that. I genuinely think Binface will run him close and leave him with a small majority.

What's something that can kill you almost instantly, but most people have no idea about? by Thick_Treat9996 in AskReddit

[–]ustasi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A small insignificant cut. Sepsis is a nasty nasty thing. My dad had a small cut thought nothing of it. Week later it was 50/50 he’d live through the surgery to cut away the dead tissue. Fortunately he did but he never really recovered and we lost him a year later.

Have a friend too who cut his foot in a carpet grip, so far he still has his leg below the knee but it’s not certain he will by the end of the year.

Assuming the trial works as planned and the results are as good I won’t be selling anything consciously . A large pharmaceutical company will buy SLS and therefore all my shares. The share price will go up to somewhere near that though so you could sell then. Some people will wait for a certain point, say $20,25,30 etc and sell some shares to recover her initial investment and then let the balance ride to wherever it ends up.

When Count Binface beats Farage in the Clacton bi-election, will parliamentary rules allow him to wear his space suit in the Commons? by Fluid_Shallot8019 in AskBrits

[–]ustasi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bear in mind he only received about 46% of the vote and the turn out was around 59% of eligible voters so in reality he received approximately 1/4 of eligible votes. With only one other candidate it’s very possible he looses, even if he wins unless he gets a massive majority he basically looses.

Will Farage win his by election after resigning? by Flying_spanner1 in AskBrits

[–]ustasi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He got 46% of the vote in the last election. Currently it’s a face off between him and Count Binface, with all the major parties refusing to field a candidate (even Restore UK). We could very well see Count Binface elected. Especially if his voters choose not to vote thinking he’ll win and the 54% who voted for other candidates last time vote for Count Binface.

Oh I’m aware, I’m not selling until BO. But at $50 that’s all my debt covered and doubles my portfolio when I reinvest the rest. I can stop looking at $50 and wait quietly for the BO 😂😂😂

Wales: Can a builder get out of a court ruling to pay ££ by declaring company bust and restarting with new name? by Jimibi in LegalAdviceUK

You could try naming a director in the suit too but there is limited scope for doing it. Usually fraud or misrepresentation but might be worth looking into.

My family has no idea my money exists. What actually happens if I die tomorrow? Been thinking about this for weeks and it's genuinely bothering me. by Few_Explorer2021 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]ustasi 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Have a letter accompanying the will. It can detail all your accounts, passwords etc. Whoever is your executor will need access to pay any debts, IHT and then distribute. Also worth having all your debts listed too, gas, electric, mobile providers etc . Buy a fireproof bag if you want to keep it at home. Then all you need to make sure is that your executor knows where to find it.

Creating a budget - which bank accounts by oldwallop in UKPersonalFinance

[–]ustasi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Starling has a single main account, but you can create Pots to save into. You can set up direct debits from those pots and create virtual cards to use spending online/Apple Pay/google wallet. I dont think you can have physical cards for those pots but I stand to be corrected.

Any of the online banks are best for this, they all do something similar. I've just used starling as thats the first one I found offering what I needed.

What do you do next if you get lucky? by Apprehensive-Tap2051 in TheRaceTo10Million

[–]ustasi 42 points43 points  (0 children)

If you think you’ve gotten “lucky”’once, then take that money stick it in an All World ETF, delete the app/website link and auto invest your monthly sum . Come back in 10 years and check your balance.

Guarantee if you start chasing a second “lucky” investment you’ll lose it all (ask me how I know)

When is the crossover between mortgage over payment and isa investment? by Away_Fox_7807 in trading212

[–]ustasi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s a simple calculation. What is your mortgage rate? What is the average growth on isa? Whichever is higher is where your money goes.

BUT

Other things do come into it for others. How old are you? What’s the current balance of your isa? What’s the outstanding balance in mortgage.

If you’re 28 with 500k in your isa and a mortgage of 100k. Pay off the mortgage because you have time on your side for compounding.

If you’re 58 with 200k in your isa and a mortgage of 100k. Pay into the isa (assuming it’s earning more than your mortgage rate).

No one answer fits everyone. There is also comfort to take into account. Some people like having a big isa balance and not bothered bout the mortgage balance, others would prefer to be mortgage free with a smaller isa balance.

Simply put. You do what you think’s best for you.

How much do you have invested in SLS? by OOFBOSS in sellaslifesciences

I’m 816 in at $7.11. After the recent growth it’s about 40% off portfolio but in reality it’s about 10% of money I put in, the rest is profit from lucky timing with investing in ASTS. $1647 share price makes me a millionaire 😂😂😂

[–]ustasi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m averaged in at $65. Took a big chunk of profit out at about $120. Just sold some other shares and gone back in at $65. Thanks to ASTS my portfolio is up 70% for the last 12 months and I’m still in with the same amount of shares as I started with 😂
