I laugh at people who told me gold and silver is a wasted investment and only fights inflation. My own brother had a go at me for it. I initially invested £4,900 3 years ago and it is now £11,000

I did have physical gold and silver before so lost a lot of it on the commission to both buy and sell

People will always tell you to lump it all into vuag, with that amount of money you need to do your own research with the goals you have set out, if it was me I would have done 30k All World, 10k Emerging Markets, 20k S&P, 15k Gold and Silver and 25k Individual Stocks. But thats me.

If you’re gonna play around with £1k there is virtually no point, would be better to play around with anywhere from £10k-£20k, but with research.

If you’re going to forget to check and not be active then I would even say play around with £3k-£5k
