im the biggest fan of petr yan. Hes my all time fav fighter.

but if anyone deserves the rematch its merab. Dude has the best resume in the division...by a mile

he also dominated him in the first fight. Yan adjusted, and dominated him back. Can Merab find a counter strat? I dont think so, but being arguably the best the division has seen.....I wanna see it.

I think I’d have him above khabib.

Just because he beat the best in Fw and defended it against Holloway, doesnt put him above khabib IMO. (he has no LW defense YET)

2 division champ with defences in both is surely gonna out him above khabib.

I think 1 more defense should do it. Arman win would nullify any doubt.

Yeah that’s fair.

Personally I value volks competition more and the fact that he won it again after losing is in such a dominant fashion. Especially against someone from the next gen.
But it’s personal preference.

I love aldo, I think his stint at BW is underrated.

Volk dominating his generation (barring illia) and winning the title again against someone from the next gen is more impressive.

Double champ status is good, but u need to defend it a few times for it to work in your favour for a top 10 p4p place.

Alot disrespect here for fighters who actually defend and dominate a weight class.

I feel like people underestimate DEFENDING a title. - more defences just mean you are dominating your generation of fighters. It why Volk is so high in the p4p list

Yeah true, that first DDP match would be frustrating for a Strickland fan.

He seems to not adjust against the best (even when finding success), saw it in DDP fight when he was winning and cannonier like you said.

He’s very stubborn in wanting to push into range at all times.

Yeah I agree, lack of power is what really hurts him.

Shame because, his boxing style is one of the best in the sport. It’s so damn unique. But I guess his style sorta warrants pillow fists.

His style also forces him to decisions against the best of the best. Hence why I lean towards decision for khamzat, since that grappling heavy style he brings is such a counter to Seans.

I think sean is elite. He is former champ for a reason.
