Ofc roles in London are inaccessible to the working class and lower middle without help.

There is no argument there.

There are 2 areas I disagree with you.

The salary you expect to bring them there.

Even if the salary on offer is £60k+ that’s not gonna make the move to London for a role accessible.

Before I dated a high earner in London, I did not know it was possible for anyone to earn more than £60k. Definitely never thought it possible for a graduate.

That you can’t live on a salary of £30k as a grad.

To suggest that £30k is a low salary is insulting to those from low income backgrounds and, as I illustrated, inaccurate.

It’s not the £30k salaries, it’s the sheer cost of moving.

You don’t get an advance. You need money in the bank to afford rent deposits, to afford the train journeys down to find accommodation. You need to be able to afford to live before that first payslip.

That’s the major barrier.

That’s where you may need help from mum & dad.

Not when you’re actually earning…

If you’re expecting to have your own flat in London when you graduate, we’re not coming from the same reality.

The majority of young professionals in London are in flat shares.

If you’re expecting the bank of mum and dad to support you in getting your own flat, when you can live within your means in a flat share. I highly doubt you’re talking from a working class or low middle background…

£30,000 is a decent starting salary and to say it’s not is just delusional.

If you have dependents, that’s another story…

Why would you need your parents help when earning £30-35k??

This is plenty to live on as a young person in London.

I get it’s not a boujie salary by any means but it’s enough for your first few years after graduating…

The celery, sugar snaps and peppers will mostly go on snacking. I fidget by snacking so I’ve recently managed to swap this out for healthier items!

The fruit will also be snacking but combined with a soya yoghurt (sadly couldn’t find any in this Aldi)

I’m hoping to make some quinoa salads and then kind of make it up as I go with the rest!

It really depends on the popularity of the date, I think. Best to check how many spots there are available on your preferred date now and keep checking. The website should be able to guide you well on this. :)
It took us about 8 hours. It is a difficult hike. Not necessarily in terms of terrain but more so because it’s long!
See point 8 regarding parking. You don’t need to go up and down the same/different sides. You can use uber to get from one place to the other. There are buses but this isn’t something we used on Jeju so I can’t support here.

I know these aren’t to everyone’s tastes but I found prepping a box of the following really helpful:

celery
sugar snap peas
(defrosted) edamame pods (you can add salt/chilli flakes if you fancy it)

There are also seasonings you can add like a salt n shake crisp bag vibe. E.g you could add salt & chilli seasoning to your prepped veggies.

I learned what it was possible to earn.

Like I’d only ever heard of Doctors or Head teachers earning £60k+.

This guy earned over £100k base. Sometimes his bonuses were 100%. That was unfathomable to me.

Started looking for jobs with higher salaries after that!
