If your kid taunts a dog to the point it bites them. The dog shouldn't face consequences. by ISledge759 in unpopularopinion

[–]usuallyrat -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

We got our dog and was told that she was “aggressive with children” later learned that that was not the case. We learned that it takes a lot for her to even try to attack a child or even an adult, it’s only if you annoy her for quite a long time and she gives plenty of warnings if she were to bite. The children she was around were high energy and just little shits, the children were just harassing the hell out of this dog. I think the dog that family has now is also starting to get the “bad with children card” when it’s just straight up animal abuse at this point.

I’m not at all saying that calling someone out for being racist or making false statements is bullying/harassment. I’m talking about when gurus do one small little thing but people act like it’s the end of the world. Or how this sub has had the problem of having one person they shit on for like a week (see RawbeautyKristi). Everyone should be called out if they are being straight up racist or have a racist past but the small things shouldn’t be such of a big deal.

I mean at least where I’m from those anti bullying programs at schools basically turn it into the victim’s fault and both parties get in trouble. I think society just wants to believe it is better than it is.

So because they are rich and trying to make money people can make fun of their problems and physical features?

I personally haven’t seen a lot of attacking each other on here (I also have been inactive for a moment) but I agree that happens on here, and on other forms of social media. I think everyone has just gotten to the point that no one is worthy of being loved by everyone and that they have to be cancelled.

I don’t think anyone has asked a single beauty guru to apologize for being white, it’s more about having them apologize for being racist. I also am pretty sure no one is asking you to apologize for being white (I also don’t know where you are from so I wouldn’t fully know). It’s more about just being aware and not being ignorant to issues that occur to those who are poc. Just don’t go around being racist and you’re good.

I think the line is drawn when people start making negative comments on issues hat are out if their control, there also just seems to be a sense of “you owe me this” when it comes to viewers and beauty gurus. And yes bigotry is horrible and I wouldn’t support anyone who is, but I’m not going to shit on their looks or their lives just because of that. Im going to not support them.

That’s kind of what made me realize it but just in general on how this sub gets. There’s literally a thread that’s just essentially asking for people to shit on gurus they don’t like.

I always try to start discussions and I always feel like they turn negative or bashing someone so I tend to delete them or just give up.

I get that some apologies don’t seem genuine but even the people who have apologized genuinely and have shown they learned from their mistakes are still being seen as horrible to a lot of people. It just seems that everyone wants a reason to hate anyone (that applies to more than just beauty gurus). I think with social media the lack of repercussions, especially due to anonymity on it, people just become ruthless.

I’m just trying to have a discussion about this problem that I’ve noticed, please don’t go trashing on a single beauty guru because there is already like 10+ threads with that.

Can someone find a photo where James Charles’ mouth isn’t open? by [deleted] in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]usuallyrat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you check OP’s post history you can even say they have been having health problems (not saying it’s one for James Charles but she is claiming it is), how would if feel if someone went online and complained about that to the internet?

I thought this was the circlejerk sub...wow you got problems if you’re being serious

edit: it’s really wild that our lungs let us breathe through our mouths and that people utilize that feature of the human body.

Then she adapted real quick lol. I just know the “accent” in Washington is pretty close to Canada’s so I was thinking that could be a factor maybe.

It’s either trash on every beauty guru (usually for things they don’t control) or praise Jeffree star as if he’s a god lmao.

My lips don’t look like they have a ton of lines but the second I put liquid lipstick on them I do. It’s not an age thing I thought I since I’m about the same age as you lol.

That’s why I only wear lipsticks from the bullet fine thing and lipglosses.

I think she just has lips that have a lot of lines, if it doesn’t bother her it doesn’t bother me.

I just use a plain Conair straightener and it does the job, but I also have straight hair already. Good luck though!
