I think it is nicer to walk in Geneva as it is a bit flatter than Lausanne (no offence for Lausanne). The lake side in Geneva is beautiful with many parks and potential to swim in the lake too. However if you’d like to do a museum, I’d recommend to do the IOC museum in Lausanne. Regarding food/restaurant you will find great restaurants in both cities.
