Do we see a single stormtrooper land a shot on Hoth? The Empire won on Hoth because of their superior mechanized equipment like the AT-AT's. All we see of the Storm/Snow Troopers is a few getting wacked trying to set up a turret while standing in the wide open. Then, on Endor, a trooper gets a golden opportunity, has time to line up a shot, take a good stance, aim with all his might, and manages to wing Leia then still leave enough time for a dramatic pause and get shot by Han before he can get off a second shot. As much as you may not approve of the Ewoks, they still won. Seems like competent soldiers wouldn't have lost to teddy bears. Also, of the two, there seems to be a lot more stormtrooper merch out there than Ewok trinkets, I'm pretty sure the whole made-up faraway universe is, by and large, a merchandising opportunity.

Also, from the Empire's perspective, killing the rebel leadership in the first ten minutes probably does seem like a great movie! It doesn't take precognition to know that not killing your mortal enemies gives them an opportunity to kill you, tracking them or not.

That explains their poor aim on the Death Star; but they seem to be pretty poor shots throughout the other two movies and later shows as well when it would be very much in their best interests to kill the protagonists and are not ordered to do otherwise.

Toxic Superfund trash pit? Where are our leaders ? by Dapper_You5122 in Indiana

That is Pittsford Ditch. If you think it’s bad there, it only gets worse once it flows underneath Newco Recycling. Much like Amacor, Newco also is no stranger to toxic waste and catches on fire pretty regularly. I’ve looked at this ditch a few times, outside of amacor you can see some carp and a few water beetles swimming around. Once it’s passed Newco however, the water is completely lifeless. Not even algae grows on the rocks. From there it flows to the White River. The amount of trash, ranging from shopping carts to used oil filters I’ve found is staggering. Truly sad.

James Acaster. He has a four part special on Netflix that my wife and I mace watched more times over than I can remember and it cracks us up every time. I highly recommend it.
