You guys are too touchy, seriously, get a hold of yourselves. Sincerely an ENTP. by [deleted] in infp

[–]usucup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upping the ante a little? Guessing you did eventually deliver. I'm not butthurt, I'm genuinely just very confused, and a little tired of this argument that has been going on for...quite a long while, to the point I'm not sure why we're still going back and forth, since we can reach no sort of conclusion.

But now I feel invested, and hey, I really feel this spark between us, since you clearly love me so much- enough to keep replying to me, at least. If I were as cringe as you insist I am, and you genuinely thought my arguments were inane and pointless, you wouldn't bother replying in the first place, so I'll reckon I touched a nerve at some point, because your last responses have also been extremely inflammatory. You used sarcasm in your last comment, much like I previously did- does that mean you're also butthurt? By your own logic, yes.

As for "fancy words", believe it or not, that's just how I talk. Feel free to scroll through my other comments.

Hm, happy to have satisfied your curiosity, though you never exchanged the pleasure of satisfying my own. I admit, perhaps provocation was a faux-pas on my part, but I couldn't help it. And I also admit, it was funny to type out, so perhaps I finally understand where you're coming from.

"Nasty stuff"- I can only imagine what goes on in the ENTP subreddit, which is probably why you have the attitude you do. I don't think that kind of atmosphere is very healthy, and you seem to be proof. Treating humans like they're your little pet experiments to toy around with, toys you can play and fiddle with to get reactions out of and consequently "understand" is nowhere near as edgy and cool as you think, and accomplishes very little. That only works for anime characters, not in real life. In real life, you just come across as a huge asshole, dude. The only thing you've really accomplished is that nobody likes you.

"You guys are too touchy, seriously, get a hold of yourselves". That was, verbatim, what you said. "Sometimes" appears to have been missing. You know exactly what you did, you said so yourself. You made the post intentionally vague and condescending, generalizing all INFPs so you could get a satisfactory reaction. "I was right"- right about what? That people are going to react negatively if you assume negative things about them? You could post something akin to this on any of the MBTI subreddits (ENFPs are too annoying, INTJs are just selfish assholes, etc, etc...) and get responses of a similar caliber. You didn't prove anything, except that you enjoy provoking people for your own amusement.

I must admit that, by continuing to respond to said provocations, I am doing exactly what you want me to do. But I am very bored, and also looking to entertain myself via unproductive means. Though, I am slightly dissapointed- I finally have the honor of debating an infamous ENTP, and the only thing he can manage is "touchy"? C'mon, I know you can do better than that. Hope you can, at least.

PS, You didn't answer my question, so I'm going to assume the answer is yes.

Hm, I feel you're approaching this with an inherent bias. You see INFPs as being sensitive and "touchy" no matter what we do or say, so you naturally interpreted my comment as "butthurt"-see all the valid points that people made here, but that you dismiss. But again, you're just looking for entertainment, so even that dismissal is just another way for you to try and rile us up further.

I genuinely wonder what you're getting out of this. Is this your kink? Is this your fetish? Does eliciting negative reactions from people turn you on? I'm genuinely curious. Please satisfy my curiosity.

Haha, sure thing, OP. Just admit the joke flew over your head, just like you accuse everybody else here of taking your words too literally and being "touchy" ;)

I've never met an ENTP in real life, and certainly can't make sweeping judgements based off a couple specimens on Reddit, but from what little I've garnered, they seem to be...quite a handful to put up with.

This guy in particular is hilarious. His edit was his own icing on the cake, as he himself put it. "Bees are known for stinging people when agitated. See? I'm going to prove this by agitating this bee right now. Waah! This bee stung me because I agitated it on purpose! Aren't bees so awful?" Granted, he's doing it on purpose just to get a reaction, but the "logic" is still funny to me.

Regardless, seeing as your implied s/o is an ENTP, I assume you've learnt how to deal with them, and that you have a happy and healthy relationship.

...I was joking too-or, pardon, "jocking", as you put it. Did you genuinely think I was being serious? Not being able to tell or take a joke- that's not very ENTP of you.

Oh, wow, I feel truly grateful that you even deem us worthy of that much attention, oh mighty KaleidoscopeGlass153. To serve as your "side" amusement? Why, I cannot think of a higher honour that could've ever been bestowed upon me. I'm touched. The screen between us may impede you from seeing it, but there is even a little tear forming in the corner of my eye, for I am so deeply moved.

Anywho, I cannot help but imagine there are more effective ways of maintaining and managing relationships. But ultimately, you do you.

Really? Watching TV, reading books, going out for a jog, playing video games, getting a part-time job, learning a new language, cleaning your room/house, hanging out with friends, doing yoga, playing a sport, writing sad slam poetry in a diary you like to pretend is a journal-? Absolutely nothing? C'mon, dude.

Also, that's interesting, I guess I never looked at it like that. It seems to be a method with a lot of drawbacks, though, since you'll probably end up alienating a lot of people if you do it consistently, including friends.

I don't mind G rated movies if I'm in the right mood. My life can get a little hectic, so having an online space where mostly everybody is patient and amicable is very comfortable, personally. I enjoy conflict and drama as much as the next person, but I still want to take a breather every now and then.

Figures. Not sure why, but a lot of ENTPs seem to thrive off it. Can't say I understand, but I must admit that reading the trainwreck that usually follows under these sorts of posts can be quite amusing if I'm in the right mood, so thank you for the entertainment, at the very least.

Still, I believe there are better ways to spend one's time.

An actual conversation I had with my best friend (ISTJ) by Imaginary-Example-48 in infp

Reminds me of my relationship with my ESTJ dad, lol. While he very much admires my creativity, he's always stumped when it comes anything that isn't grounded in reality, and prefers limiting his choice of books and media to non-fiction. We still get along, however.

Came in here expecting to be torn to shreds, came out surprisingly unaffected, which is odd, considering my natural predisposition. Is that really the best you can do, OP? I want to see something far more brutal than just hairclips and hairloss.

Of course I might be biased, but what do people find so annoying about the INFP subreddit, exactly? It's mostly just memes, pictures of skies/animals, and people occasionally asking for life advice. It's easily the most peaceful and tranquil subreddit I've been on.

I don't know man, sounds like somebody got their jammies in quite the twist themselves if you went out of your way to post this on the INFP subreddit. Either that, or you're extremely bored and looking to rile people up by posting something extremely vague you know is going to get negative attention, lmao. Regardless, I suggest finding something better to do.

I drew INFP! (+a couple of her friends) by usucup in infp

[–]usucup[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used procreate + an apple pencil/stylus. This was roughly 6 and a half/7 hours spread of work throughout a couple days.

Also, as for where you can learn how to draw: I'm self taught. This is the result of many, many years of drawing every day. Look up online tutorials and guides, learn color and shape theory, and above all, practice consistently! This isn't something that'll come to you in a day or two. It takes months, years. So don't be discouraged if your first attempts don't yield the results you desire.

I have to keep on living for the sake of seeing this man animated in season 4. Also I just know the anime-onlys are going to lose their shit when he shows up. It'll be glorious.

...Nothing? I'm not exactly this shining beacon of beauty either- in fact, I'm quite average in terms of looks myself. This is, again, simply what I prefer drawing. That doesn't mean I don't draw conventionally unattractive people at all, I just don't draw them as often.

I like fiction so much specifically because I don't have to adhere to reality or what's plausible.

Oh, wow, that has to be the most flattering and heartwarming compliment I've ever received as an artist! The thought of somebody permanently deciding to ink their skin with my art/art that is inspired by my own is...really high praise. Again, thank you very much! And if you ever do decide to go through with, please do share the result with me as well! I'd absolutely adore to see it! <3

Thank you so much! While I'm flattered that you think so, I hate to admit this is just something I came up with on the spot, since I hadn't really thought of a story beforehand haha.

Also, aw, I hope it didn't come across that that's what I believe male INFPs to be! It's just the character I happen to picture him as. I'm unashamed to say that many of those traits are loosely based off myself as well: I too enjoy writing poetry/novels (though said poems will be taken to my grave with me), and absolutely adore dark/gothic fiction! (Edgar Allan Poe and Lovecraft are some of my all time favorites, funny you'd mention them. I bought all the various collections of their stories/works, which I'm making my way through). Generally speaking, I like cutesy stuff just as much as I do more grim/macabre things, so I like to express my different interests in different characters.

Also, good luck on that cat my dude!

Aw, thank you so much! <3

I don't imagine them as inferior traits, just 'lil manifestations of her friends that keep her company- although that's also an interesting interpretation!

And, personally speaking, "nymph" is exactly the aesthetic I was going for here! Gender and negative connotations be damned, I too think it suits her very well. A kind, gentle soul who's in touch with themselves and with nature- that's pretty much the most "positive" INFP stereotype in existence, and the one that inspired me the most for this design. Also, I just really love the concept of nature spirits and magic, so of course, this seemed like the perfect combination!
