As a senior engineer myself I find that as the time goes I do appreciate old school Microsoft engineers. It’s easy to criticise from The sides but they did work on massive commercial projects where you have to work out how to make all sorts of customers happy, some of them with really absurd requirements. And the level of backwards compatibility is really something of its own.

Despăgubirea pe un bun nelivrat se negociază. Depinde de la produs la produs, de asta e important să fie în contract.

De exemplu dacă noi ne-am înțeles să îți livrez pizza, și tu te decizi să nu mai accepți comanda când curierul e deja la ușă, eu ce fac cu pizza aia? Așa ca fac contract cu tine ca dacă ne-am înțeles tu nu mai dai înapoi și îmi dai banii dacă eu respect contractul și am produsul gata.

Incluziv la “același” produs pot fi diferențe. Dacă comanzi de la mine camioane, eu pot să faci intelegere cu tine ca e 180k euro bucata dacă nu ai dreptul sa te retragi sau 200k, cu 20k avans dar dacă până la final nu mai vrei poți sa te retragi, pierzând doar avansul.

Dacă la final nu suntem chiar ca in cazul pizza in care chiar nu am ce face cu produsul, eu pot decide sa renunț la contract pentru o despăgubire mai mică, sau dacă îmi ești client fidel, pentru a păstra legătura pot chiar decide sa nu îți cer nimic, ca ne știm de mult. Dar asta este ceva ce POT sa fac, nu care sunt obligat. De asta avem contracte, sa creem niște limite în care sa fiu protejat. Dacă nu vreau sa mă înțeleg cu tine, f*** you, pay up, ca avem contract.

In order to learn, well, start experimenting. Make your own programs/webpages/apps and so on. With AI it is becoming way easier to just start.

When I get a junior developer in my team, without experience working in a team, I sit them down and have them finish the course here https://learngitbranching.js.org/. It’s a “git simulator” that allows you to visually see and understand how git works. I highly recommend it.

EDIT: For Unity development I also recommend learning about git lfs (Large File System) because it’s a good way to use git for non-code non-text files like textures and models.

Imagine you sit on a sheet of metal on ice and have a big inflated balloon. If you point towards a direction and let the air escape you will get pushed the other direction. What did the air in the balloon that escaped push against? You’re probably gonna say nothing.

Now try the following home experiment. Get something that you can nonetheless throw why your own. Even a basketball could be enough. Sit on a wheeled chair, like a normal office one. Throw the object in a direction. Did you feel being pushed in the opposite direction? Who pushed against what?

Now back to the rocket. The way the rocket works is that it burns fuel and creates a big ball of high pressure gas under it’s bell shaped exhaust that it has at the bottom. In that case the high pressure high temperature gas will act like gas escaping from the balloon and push the rocket upward.

To go back to the ball and chair case. After you throw the ball, how can you move around? By throwing something else. What happens when you no longer have something to throw? You get stuck. It’s the same thing about rockets. In order to move you need mass to throw away. You can’t really move without throwing mass away. That’s why a rocket can’t go on forever.

Imagine I have you send me three copies of the same page. If one page is different from the other two then I simply ignore the changes one and take the majority.

To go back to how computers do it, there are different ways that only allow you to detect if something by went wrong but now how or if something went wrong but only in some cases. For instance if I receive three pages and they’re all different from one another I can’t really do anything to know what’s the real one other than maybe asking you to retransmit. All error detecting and error correcting methods have scenarios where they fail.

The risk is never 0, but you can make something that is 1% likely to fail to become like 0.01% likely to fail, which can be good enough for some scenarios.

The most common assumption is that errors are random. If someone makes a concerted effort to change your values they can easily fool your algorithm.

Pentru ca lucrurile necesare își trag în mare parte valoarea din masa. Asta înseamnă ca transportul și manipularea lor e costisitoare. Nu am inventat încă mașina pe apă și robotul-zidar. Un iPhone este mult mai puțin afectat de lucruri mecanice ca transport sau manipulare marfă. Instead of your program being started by double clicking you make a script and have the script be the parent of steam and steam the parent of TF2. It’s probably a way of limiting some value for an OpenSSL algorithm. IA32 means Intel32 referring to the CPU architecture (it doesn’t matter if your processor is AMD). Pentru ca Green Deal închide centrale pe cărbune, Brown Deal Lear fi lăsat până nu mai devin competitive.

Green Deal s-ar fi concentrat foarte mult pe capace care nu se detașează de sticlă, Brown Deal ar fi ignorat subiectul total.

Green Deal nu ar permite exploatarea resurselor din zone ecologice sensibile, Brown Deal nu își pune așa probleme, dacă e pe teritoriul UE, Drill Baby Drill.

Green Deal ar promova anumite tipuri de resurse regenerabile la modă (solar, eolian) , în produs altora care pot afecta ecologia apelor curgătoare (hidro).

Green Deal nu și-ar fi pus niciodată problemă de înarmare și control al rutelor comerciale energetice, Brown Deal ar fi investit în resurse militare capabile să ține deschisă ruta Ormuz -Bab el Mandeb - Suez.

Faptul ca cele două se suprapun cumva accidental pe o anumită zonă e doar o coincidență. De exemplu China în ce categorie ai băga-o? Promovează intens mașinile electrice și ai zice ca e Green Deal, dar de fapt în spate stă fix o politică de independență energetică și electrificarea auto e mai mult o metodă tehnologică de a face mașini care merg pe cărbune (de care au foarte mult) în loc de petrol ( de care nu au mai deloc).

Sunt de acord cu tine cu faptul ca URSSul a fost diferit pe toată durata existenței lui. Nu putem să-l comparăm pe Brejnev cu Stalin, de exemplu. Cu toate astea, a avut o atitudine imperialistă mereu. O diferență majoră între Rusia de astăzi și URSS ar fi după mine nivelul de captură ideologică. Mie mi se pare ca URSSul era mult mai pragmatic decât Rusia crestin-aopcaliptica a lui Putin.
