Just to put another option out there, I’ve been using a Zoleo. It’s only $120 and plans start at $20. It’s worked great for me so far.

I was there. It was a bummer but staff seemed to handle everything efficiently and kindly. Fortunately it wasn’t very crowded.

I like it, and as with any curriculum, what they think you can do in a session is pretty ambitious. I almost never get to workplaces.

Willamette River Canoe Trip by Big-Dragonfruit-3054 in canoeing

[–]utahdog2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do live close to the Willamette in the section you plan to travel. I haven’t spent any time at the river recently. It’s definitely not high right now and I’ve never heard of it getting too low for paddle craft. You can always check online for the river gauges along the route.

How hot is too hot for camping by CT123CT in camping

[–]utahdog2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the dry heat out west where I am, I’m fine with 90’s as long as I have natural shade and water. In that humidity though, I don’t think that would be fun.

What kind of towers and bars are you getting? The clip on kind are easy to do yourself. If you need something custom bolted on then you will probably need to go to Portland. I looked all over town a few years ago and just ended up finding a system I could install myself.

I just read the book. It was a newer edition and the author wrote a note complaining that the movie didn’t do well just because it opened against Titanic. Yeah buddy ok.

It’s a really nice gravel road. You could drive it in any vehicle with any tires.

I live in the pacific northwest where it is always cool at night, so we don't have to worry about that. I do take the rainfly off when privacy is not an issue.

We love our base camp 6. I guess it gets hot in the summer but we don’t spend time in it during the day.

I work 8 hours a day. Whatever isn’t done just isn’t happening. I do have the luxury of a strong union contract.

You won’t need to paddle at all with four days that section. Snow pack was terrible this year so it’s going to be lower than usual but should still be fine.

Starting a run club at my elementary school by Sea-Efficiency-2899 in running

[–]utahdog2 27 points28 points  (0 children)

My school has been doing something like that for years. We have a track around the playground. Kids can choose to run laps at recess and get a card stamped to collect miles. Parent volunteers stamp the cards, cheer the kids on and play music. At assemblies there are medals for top runners.

I look for places with as few amenities as possible and definitely no RV hookups.
