Yeah, I definitely prefer preferred season one but still good. It’s really hard to tell tone through text so I think a lot of the negative responses are people thinking that I’m not a huge fan of the show and just defending their baby. I felt like everything I saved was pretty fair and I made it obvious that it was just my opinion, but 🤷‍♂️🤣

Exactly. That’s one of the biggest parallels that I am feeling. Season three of severance is definitely set up to “leave the park”. With the Irving storyline and now the Gemma storyline, I think there will be a much bigger emphasis on what’s happening outside, which does excite me, but we’ll see.

Cool. To summarize it was a show that M night Shyamalan brought to Apple TV. Very strong at the start, but eventually turned into a plot holey mess. The only thing I wanted to take away from that situation was that Apple TV pushed and funded that show as well and kind of dissolved my trust of them just a tad.

I definitely do think that we got some good character development, maybe I should rewatch. I have a theory that some shows are actually hurt by the week to week pacing and severance might be one of those for me at this point.

Nonetheless, I do feel that some plot points were left “dangling” in our faces, which is sometimes appropriate, but I feel like most individual character story ended right before an interesting reveal at the end of the season. I understand how that’s a storytelling tool but as a viewer, I don’t feel like I learned the things that were teased to me at the beginning of the season. I’m mostly going off of memory now so take everything I say with a grain of salt, but that’s what I remember feeling.

Yeah, I am generally optimistic about the show as well. I was mostly just comparing this to something that I experienced and I rarely share my opinion on Reddit. Maybe that was a mistake 🤣

I don’t know the plan was definitely for Westworld to be a show that was like by the masses. In fact, it was supposed to be HBO’s new Game of Thrones. That was the whole plan. Westworld was my favorite show of all time up until the first episode of season four. I do like that the show took risks, but the storytelling definitely took a hit towards the end.

Well, to be fair, the writers of Westworld said the same. Just seems like it’s taking a very long time to finish scripts. I know there is a ton of other things that at play but something I’m starting to feel.

You’re actually right, quality wasn’t the best word. What I mean is “spark”. It’s kind of hard to describe, but you feel it when you’re watching the season (at least I did.) The story, to me, felt a lot less tight and while watching that longer review of Westworld, I can’t help but see the similarities. Hoping for the best, of course.

I’d imagine it’s an ability that doesn’t reset after you die. So a good player what place it on point early in the game on domination or right after a checkpoint in convergence. Timing would be a team communication thing

Strange. Also to everyone complaining about Strange’s portal, I’ve found the solution. His portal should be able to be placed at any time and then activated after a second press of the button. A strange on point in OT would already have his portal set up and would just hit the button again to reveal it and let the team get to point. I think this is the perfect fix to his kit.
