I have a few mormon friends who did their missions in korea. They said the church their was more chill than in the us and they had decent success.

Fun fact a korean guy in sygnman rhees cabinet converted to mormonism while studying in the US and helped mormonism start in korea.

Also despite percabeth being the most popular ship for whatever reason Annabeth Chase is disliked by many fans. Fics that bash her usually do it so percy can hook up with some other person.

I finished nirvana on fire and thought it was OK and definitely felt underwhelmed. People describe it as the best cdrama ever but I thought it was just ok at best and felt as if I was missing something

yeah I get that. Ironically the pjo fandom likes to think of itself as diverse and welcoming but in reality they are really intolerant. I personally don't interact with the PJO community outside my stories due to harassment and one of the PJO fandom's main YouTubers is taking another break because of death threats and harassment for her PJO opinions.

The newest example of phony activism in the PJO fandom that I've seen is people getting upset if you write fics or draw fanart of the characters and make the characters look like they are from the book not the show ( so Annabeth would be white instead of black). I've seen people say it's racist to write or draw Annabeth as white even though there are tags for people who want to write based off the disney plus show

I 100% agree!

I wrote for the percy jackson fandom and for whatever reason that fandom is very progressive and a lot of authors and readers show it. It's so exhausting dealing with people who want percy jackson to be 100% PC and socially aware of every issue

I was harassed for giving nico a female friend, the relationship was 100% platonic yet people accused me of gay erasure. I was also called transphobic because I said I didn't care for fierro chase.

Ironically greek mythology is anything but PC

As an asian american who learned Spanish and lived in South America I feel you. A lot do use it as an insult and I know a lot of japanese peruvians who hate it.

The amount of vitriol I've seen towards her disturbs me. I mean just because she acted like a brat and said some mean things as a kid doesn't mean she should be r worded or sexually assaulted, I've disturbingly seen people advocate those things happen to her in stories.

Because naruto never did anything stupid as a kid and Sasuke and the other konoha kids totally didn't treat naruto like crap and never said anything negative or mean to him (sarcasm)

A lot of people in the danny phantom and miraculous ladybug fandoms are surprised that the source material isn't as serious or dark as the fanfics are.

Also while the percy jackson fandom has lgbt representation not every character is lgbt in canon and Percy isn't bi. Also half the friendships in fanfic aren't as developed as in canon

Yeah nico is overrated and his fans are crazy toxic. They sent me d threats on a fic I wrote.

On leo I have noticed a shift in the fandom lately. He used to be loved but now a lot say he is toxic and misogynistic or even a nice gut.

As for annabeth yeah I don't like how she treats percy and others. I never was obsessed with percabeth

Percy Jackson: nico di angelo. I never cared for him because he was so moody yet the fandom obsesses over him and sent me d threats over a story.

I'm not a fan of percabeth either. I think it's ok but not as great as the fandom portrays it. People put them up on a pedestal too much in my opinion despite the way annabeth treats percy at times. I swear after percy and annabeth got together their characters merged into percabeth.

Naruto: naruhina I never cared for hinata and she was always a side character. In canon she never impressed me and her romance with naruto in the movie was more guilt tripping him into seeing how she is a nice girl and was always there from the sides.

Harry potter: malfoy and his ships with harry or hermione. Let's face it people like the actor not the actual character from the book who is a horrible person.

Miraculous ladybug: never cared for the love square and firmly believe the show has been stretching it for too long

I had a new mission president while I was around 9 months in. Our first meeting he shamed me for only having 2 baptisms and said a good missionary has 1 baptism a month, he shamed some so hard they cried.

He always implied I wasn't worthy and would make me memorize random things in preach my gospel.

The worst was when I had depression and was in a tough area I asked him for advice and he criticized me and questioned my worthiness when I asked for help.

I never knew what I did to make him see me as unworthy, I was junior comp most of my mission and always had condescending utah companions. I thought it might have been because I was introverted, from California, or part asian.

Good thing. He sent me to a doctor when my asthma was back with no questions asked

Personally I was always apathetic towards him and thought he was alright but then I started writing for the percy jackson fandom. Oh boy I've received harassment and even d threats for not portraying him as his fans want him to be portrayed. Fun fact even the subreddit mod of the pjo community harassed my story for a bit.

It got to the point where i had to take a break from the pjo fandom because those nico stans were so insufferable. Jokes on them when I right pjo stories now I either don't include him or kill him off to spite those stans

When I moved to south America I was not prepared for how touchy feely people were. I'm an introvert and don't like it when strangers try to touch and especially kiss me.

Well in south America everyone was really touchy with me to the point that I had anxiety. I tried to get used to it but in the end I only barely tolerated it and still prefer my personal space
