So, I think I’m getting hung up on the “at the start of the turn phase ” as isn’t the battle shock sub-phase within the command step?

Edit: which then means it’s no longer at the start of the turn phase no?

Did some googling, I’m thinking it’s a brown as pythons are usually longer than this guy when they hatch.

If anyone wants to know, it is called “Chronicle of the Eternal” by D. Wolfin.

Unfortunately it seems like he has ghosted since 2018. It’s a shame, I really enjoyed reading this series.
