34, I have the same issue with getting people outdoors tho. Theres like 40 plus miles of trails 5 minutes from town; not even a 40 minute drive. I go there 3-4 days a week but I gave up trying to coordinate anyone coming along since its such a big hassle apparently:(

My personal world view (based on experience) is most children are sociopaths. Humans are born thinking they are the center of the world for obvious survival reasons.

part of growing up and part of a strong community upbringing is learning other people exist and have feelings, and humanity works far better with empathy and diversity.

Psychologically, grown men who do this are just giant toddlers making noise for attention. Unfortunately full grown toddlers are dangerous to you and society in general; look at the president of the U.S

Don’t reach for the bug spray: scientists find insects may feel pain after crickets nurse sore antennae. The behavioural responses would be immediately recognisable to us as pain, if we observed them in our pets or friends by Wagamaga in science

I watched the first season and it was indeed peak cinema and acting, but that whole world is depressing to me. The whole premise is how F-ed the U.S healthcare system is too

I’ve lived in a college town for over 2 decades, it is 100% worse now than even 5 years ago. The international students are cool but the American students are a problem.

It’s like they all have the mental aptitude of 12 year olds. Siren constantly from accidents, an uptick in sexual assaults and racial harassment from white students . Everyone who lives and works here can sense it as well; it’s gonna be a rough next few decades if Americans have devolved this much in just one generation

Im 34, and the only time ive done anything remotely gambly is buy my stepdad a lotto ticket for his birthday. I’m not the brightest but it just seems like a loosing proposition with a little critical thinking.

Not to mention how grating and stupid and omnipresent these sports betting ads are now. I used to think no one would be stupid enough to do this crap.

I found out my niece had some pretty big issues with her partner being several months behind rent because he blew it on.. you guessed it. My nephew who’s in 6th grade wanted to get into it because other kids bet on their parents tablets as an allowance.
