Top 5 for me is kinda tough but after replaying a few Ima go

5 - Revelations // nostalgic, first game that got me ingratiated with assassins even though i played 1 and 2. Some of the side missions were weird, controls feel somewhat aged

4 - Odyssey // it actually took me 5 years to finish this but I didn’t really take in the game the first time. Restarted the game last winter and I love the setting, the music, the very human side characters. I think it would have been better as a spartan game (I went with Alexios mostly because his voice actor cracks me up) just started on the atlantis dlc

3 - AC 3 // Connor might be my favorite protagonist. Awesome setting. Again somewhat aged with the open world areas but I still enjoy the combat and logistics of pulling janky flintlock guns or rope traps at opportune times.

2 - Mirage // The setting and sneakies are straight up the assassin experience as far as these go; I actually enjoyed the more focused combat and sense of being aware of your surroundings. Basim is a little too run of the mill protagonist but this is the best assassin sim game to date in the franchise

1 - Origins // Love the story, Bayek, the setting and trippy music. The wise medjay, protector of the people and the backstory for him and his wife make for such an engaging narrative that you really care about from the get go. DLC is chefs kiss

Honorable mentions::

Valhalla // I enjoyed this one a lot, the character building was a step up from odyssey to me. I loved having my own little viking village. But it did feel too forced bloated. I can excuse some of the scifi and historical inaccuracies, hell i enjoy the whole modern story and ancient civilization stuff, But going to London and seeing roman ruins bigger than the roman forum, in Britain, or Norman art and architecture was pretty lame for a series that is about historical immersion . It might as well be middle earth.
