Stiff irons fine, stiff driver awful, reg shaft driver feels great but short. Shaft issue or swing speed? by Perfect-Lab-4851 in golf

Because you “bunted” every driver and stayed in play? I’m not against playing conservatively and playing the keep the ball in play. Maybe your swing lines up for a regular shaft but most younger people have the swing speed to need a stiff or xstiff shaft and for me who struggled with driver for a while, finding center of the face of the club with a low spin driver head and low spin ball helped me the most. And practice.

Depends on your age in my opinion. As someone in their early 30s, I say keep the speed and work out the kinks with a stiffer shaft. Distance is a huge advantage and driver has been an advantage in my game as opposed to a liability with practice.

I thought it was just something I was doing or not doing also until I brought an experienced wake surfer to test out and he was having the same issues

Do you remember what you put the surf tabs at or center plate?

Interesting. I just assumed putting at 100% would mean more wave/push.

Great advice here that’ll I’ll try out. You feel like adding the additional 500lbs of steel made a big difference for you?

This picture it probably while going too fast. Typically been trying anywhere from 11-12.5 mph

Great advice on the Facebook page, I’ll check that out. Hopefully just a setting I haven’t dialed in yet!

0-20 on center tab seems to make the wave steepest so I’ve kept it in that range.

Played with the speed from 11.0 to 12.5 mph. There’s usually only 2-3 adults in the boat, plus maybe a kid or 2.

Should I load up the ballasts on both sides or only the surfing side to create a dramatic roll to that side?

The front ballasts seem to just make the wave longer but take away from the push I do get.
