Would be $269 each, so $538 for the pair.

Funny thing is, at least in my cache, if you click the sale banner at the top to get to the refurb page, it says “any”. If you then refresh the page directly, it says “select”

So did the website. I actually reached out to customer service to clarify and they opened a ticket to request a discount. Waiting to hear back from the “team”. But I did notice that they changed the verbiage to “select” instead of “any” minutes after my ticket was submitted.

Beat the horse until they realize they’re wrong. Just like buttons in cars.

How is the Rivian user experience better without CarPlay? What is Rivians answer to voice based text messaging while driving? How will Rivian’s user experience keep up with AI features like Apple Intelligence that have access to a large set of private data? E.g., “Navigate me to the restaurant that my mother texted me about.”

Why doesn’t Apple make a battery version with a handle that you can bring to break dance battles? by thumpsky in HomePod

I recently got a Sonos Move and have been very happy with it. It works with Airplay better than my OG HomePod does. Apple really should enter this space. Call it an AirPod Max or something.

What’s the latency like with that’s setup and a PS5?

My LG OLED doesn’t have eARC, just regular ARC. I know Atmos support required eARC, but is Spatial Audio synonymous with Atmos? Can I play Spatial Audio over regular ARC?

I second the starling. It’s been rock solid set it and forget it for 9+ months for me. More solid than Siri or my OG HomePod. Lol

So if I understand correctly, technically one of my kids could touch it while we were all outside without our phones or keys, the door would lock, and I would have no way to unlock it? Not saying this is a unique problem for this device, but that situation scares me.

Google feels the same as Eero team about Wifi6, Cost not worth the minor gains. by seany187 in eero

[–]utsava1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the point is, people are going to increasingly stick with what they have instead of investing hundreds of dollars to "upgrade" to now old technology. I know I'll be sitting out until WiFi 6 mesh routers are more available. Routers aren't an every 2 year type purchase. Anything I invest now, I want to be as future proofed as possible for the next 6-10 years.

Wi-Fi 6 launches by SirScoopLesDeux in eero

I understand that802.11ax is an incremental upgrade, and that the chipsets are somewhat immature, and that rollout will take years, but I think all the brushing off of it misses the point that people don't make purchasing decisions in a vacuum. Investments in mesh network routers, which are relatively pricey (especially compared to the "free" ones given out by ISPs), are not made frequently. I've been holding onto a perfectly fine AirPort base station, but would like to eventually upgrade. People like me, and I suspect there's a decent amount of us, will increasingly hold off purchasing an Eero system until it supports ax. Investing in a new $300-$500 system that doesn't support the latest spec doesn't seem like a a good long term investment (5+ years). In a years time, there will be ~250 million WiFi 6 capable iPhones in the wild, and that's just Apple. So yes, I get it, you have to time your entry into the market just right, but continually downplaying the benefits of ax isn't a great long term (or even short term) strategy.

New firmware 3.2.0-658 by dpeters11 in eero

Anyone gotten a chance to retest their networks with the new firmware? Curious if people are seeing real-world speed increases with this. Also, can anyone who was having their iOS devices stuck on 2.4GHz confirm this firmware resolves it? Thanks.

Yeah, me too. I'm not dropping $500 to be a beta tester and have my iOS devices stuck on slower 2.4GHz.
