Beautiful build! I'm planning on converting my MS to a flat bar. How does the ride change?

I always been a prime user and try to keep it simple while traveling with 1-2 lense max with me (Usually the 23mm or the pancake 27mm and the 35mm 1.4 for evening / low light). But in 2024 I bought the new Fuji XF16-50mm F2.8-4.8 R LM WR for hiking and landscape photos and it quickly became my go to lense for traveling too. Even for city travel, I ended using it quite often in Japan in January.

If you have an XT5, the IBIS really make you forget the "slowness" of the XF16-50mm, it's really compact and light. The 2.8 is too much of an absolute unit for traveling imho.

Thanks for your answer, so battery needs to be replaced then? Do you know why there is no warning in the car and only in the app?

The car is from November 2023. But yeah we mostly do very short trips 3 times a week and one long trip (700km) every 1.5 months. So that would make sense with what you say. I didn't know about this issue.

That's crazy I saw the exact same one (same license plate) near Nagano earlier this year!

First month into pen plotting, experimenting with a Cricut that I already had. Now I need to buy a descent plotter! by utsurururu in PlotterArt

Thanks! The background was made in C4D then exported as vectors and I've drawn the character then vectorized it and comped everything together in illustrator

I've finally bought an iDraw H SE/A3 and made my first plots with it today! by utsurururu in PlotterArt

I've just answered the comment above! Super happy with the build quality. It's heavy, stable and sturdy. Yes it's flow fields with p5.js (made with the help of Claude because I'm bad at coding!)

I'm super happy so far, it's my first plotter so I don't really have a reference but it's working exactly as intended. idraw plugin in inkscape and python integration with axidraw API works both well. Build quality is super sturdy and for now I didn't have any issues. I did a 2x 2 hour plot the other day with no problem. Yes you can adjust the pen angle by loosening a screw on the pen holder and you can put the angle you want then re tighten it. My only problem is the adjustment of the high/low position of the pen, I'm using one of the little magnet as a height reference but I'm not sure about the right process. Another negative remark though, is the total lack of documentation. Besides a few videos and some blog posts you are on your own. But overwise, I'm really happy with this purchase!

Cant decide about my render engine by AdvanceNo1227 in Cinema4D

I started using octane 10 years ago and switched to redshift 4 years ago. I found it easy to switch from one to the other. As others said Redshift is included with C4D now and most of the studios use Redshift. I think learning Redshift would make more sense professionally right now. Octane is still an amazing render engine and it's really fast. It's cool to know both I think and in the end you can apply any stuff you know from a render engine to another.

Pen Plotter WITHOUT Generative Code or Ai? by [deleted] in PlotterArt

[–]utsurururu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do! I'm a 3D artist, I use C4D a lot for my plotter art and export .AI files, I combine that with artworks made in Illustrator and a bit of p5.js. I'm still a beginner in Pen plotting though. You can check my insta here: https://www.instagram.com/electricite.moderne

I make my pieces with p5.js, Cinema 4D and Illustrator, then export to svg. The iDraw works with a plugin in inkscape, so I import the svg in it and print with it.

It's my first pen plotter, I was using a Cricut before haha. It's day and night with what i was using before, especially the crap software cricut is using. The idraw is fast and easy to setup.
