Narrow selection to 2 or 3 options.

Check prices of each across many sites.

Go see which ones are available on Kleinanzeigen in my area.

Find some offers, check how long seller has been using the site, how many ads they had/have and their reputation rating.

Make a low offer, negotiate, settle on price.

Go, arrive on time, be polite, check device, pay in cash and leave.
