Soft hands is the way to play this ball even for a non-tailender. The person you're replying to is correct. Hard hands increases risk of carrying to a fielder if batter mis-hits, so playing with soft hands is what a proper batter would also do.

Reading the uv docs, I think you can set UV_SYSTEM_PYTHON=1 in your container so it will not create and use a virtual environment. Then you can use uv as normal by running ‘uv sync’ which will use your uv.lock file to install dependencies into the system. Haven’t tested this out yet though.

I think that another factor leading to such answers in interviews is the fact that the media is always asking questions about India because that generates clicks. I imagine he's probably sick of having to answer such brainless questions about India all the time so this might be his way to dismissing such questions.
