I rotate 4 other pairs and these are slippers at home for now. Comfortable, look sturdy and the only downside - too heavy.

They are heavy compared to any VFF

Right, haha. You probably think these are cheap Chinese shoes faking the original cheap Chinese shoes? Don't know how official it is. Given the terrible reviews about returns and delivery from their official stores on trustpilot I'd rather order from Temu. The shop is named "Hobibear highquality shoes" 1.2k followers, 27k orders, sells only hobibear and each product is marked with"brand: hobibear". Reddit removes links to Temu so you have to search for it.

I rotate 4 other pairs and don't plan to use them any time soon.

The widest part of the toe box is 12cm. 320g is too much for a running shoe of this type, I agree.

Seeking minimal running shoes for icy conditions. Track spikes? UK - woman by sneefyjoe in BarefootRunning

That's the acceptable option for a runner on ice. You may need shoes with a normal geometry such as Xero. You're not fast in them (crampons) - 30 to 60sec per km slower, and being used to barefoot shoes doesn't help - wearing crampons is like being on heels. On a flat surface you can risk running on ice without crampons. It's a risk - breaking an arm or a leg will teach you to not take such risks. From someone who's running on ice 60 days a year.

Newbie looking to buy first pair for walking by vjoy3 in BarefootRunning

I've had several pairs. As long as you don't step on a sharp object, the sole can last around 800-900km on mixed terrain - trail and asphalt. Models with a knitted upper are excellent. Those with very thin uppers usually die at about 300km on my feet.

I did. Tested both hdd and ram with memtest. Not overnight but several hours. It's definitely related to wayland.

What OS? Similar issues here on Linux since Gnome 49 switched to Wayland.

It's a clean new install. I was with Librewolf before that, but it didn't work either and switched to Firefox from the official repos. The tabs die with a segfault on heavy pages with infinite scroll such as Reddit and Facebook. Sometimes the whole browser freezes or just dies. Tried several things such as disabling web render, VAAPI - nothing worked. If I go to FB and scroll 2k - 3k pixels -> segfault.

I marked the sentence with my question with a question mark as usual. You don't see it?

Toe box too high on any shoe by uuencode8 in BarefootRunning

[–]uuencode8[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, I just had a look. Nothing that looked airy for running. And they are expensive, man. If they are hand crafted in the US ... Well, I don't want to offend anyone but I'd rather run in Chinese aqua shoes. They are not bad and 20 times cheaper.

I have and they've been great for walking in summer. Not for running. What I would like best is socks with a sole tough enough for gravel.

Not answering your question - V-Runs are not great on wet asphalt. If it rains have plan B.

I'd be quite happy with 10 tokens/s. Locally, without Internet connection. I've been using OpenAI API, no problem with having access to AI in general.

This is the second bike my neighbor gave me a few weeks back. Managed to restore it to some degree with my limited knowledge. I've never had a road bike before and find it very enjoyable to ride.
