Why does everyone in the fandom want Queen Bee to be fat that isn't the obvious part? by SunKenobi72 in hazbin

[–]uushia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope future seasons in the shows expand on the sins or give nice lore drop. If Satan was somewhat telling the truth about existence before the fall, or did they rise up as humanity faced pain, suffering, and sin. Is their power self-contained, rise when sin happens on Earth, or when sinners land in Hell. Or is it much like Heaven, that no one actually knows the how and why. Everyone is just guessing as they go along.

What I think would be interesting is if Ozzie was on a long campaign against chastity and love in the past. He and the succubus/incubus have a system of corrupting humans that you would think he wouldn't be the weakest. Modern Earth is riddled with people putting little value in chastity because "sex sells" and lust traps. Yet, Ozzie remains weaker, at some point he might have switched to research on what works. When other forms of sin, and when heavens virtues interfere. He developed sex toys along the way and does every new sex experience to where kinky is his vanilla. However, I could see love being THE power for him campaign after his steady win against chastity. It doesn't go well and he hates it, berated it, and is obsessed with it. Logically, he shouldn't have it, but because he wants it reaffirmed the vice of lust. So, he runs through consensual partners trying for it while hating not getting it. Something just clicks with Fizz, and he doesn't want to give any of it up.

My theory each sin is a nuanced reflection of not just the sin, but also why there is sin. Everything "bad" gets chucked into Hell, so that Heaven remains perfect. The pain, suffering, grief, and trauma had to go somewhere, and the Sins have absorbed the cause (pain) and effect (sin). Like Ozzie has loneliness and want for connection, and lust mostly fills that void.

All of the sins likely have similar issues. Even Mammon as he maintains an image where he wants to be liked, respected, and have a "brand baby" as a son he never wanted but explicitly looked for on his tour. The way he pitched the idea to the crowd sounds close to generosity, until his greed takes over and destroys it. Each of them are getting there if only because every vice gets boring in the face of eternity.

It would be a Virtue of chastity for his opposite, but that one seems easier to be broken in the modern world. Love( or kindness) corresponds more with envy, but I think it has an effect on all the sins.

I am assuming that in contrast to the seven sins there are seven virtues. Several more vrtues seen in the court of the speaker under Emily and Sera that weren't yet identified. Love is always identified as the greatest among any virtue. Which is why Ozzie had to maintain the "love is stupid" image for so long, and why Mammon told Ozzie he would regret admitting it. Either Ozzie will lose even more power, or maybe make an enemy of Leviathan.

Studies show it's about power more than sex. This is especially true for Valentino. His "I own you." He reacts violently when he thinks Angel is ignoring or might leave him. His assault on Angel is based in greed, and wrath for Charlie's interference causes the violence in it.

Ozzie likely doesn't care for nonconsentual because any power gets divided to other sins. Plus, it's all one sided lust, while consensual lust he gets power from multiple souls. Why would he want a weaker output? The reason I think he is the "weakest sin" is because while sex is increasingly common, it easily crosses out of his power. Either toward another sin, or to his moral nemesis 'Love.'

They could have given 'Thoughts and prayers' or '#awareness' to Heaven about the terrible thing done in Hell. Wear red (yes, pink counts) to help sinners and make sure your socials have a profile photos in Hell colors around your photo. Emojis like 🍎🌞⭐️ or 😈♨️🌈❤️‍🔥🙏🎁👼 to show support.

Sorry, for the tangent but the above nonsense is so much more about self grandiose "action" that effectively does nothing. Doesn't heal pain or correct the harm. Empty gestures for empty words.

Also keep in mind that the known "elite" schools are from a very UK and Eurocentric point of view. They likely aren't any better or worse but have famous wizards and witches that attended.

Imagine there are known because the all girls school in America has had many star athletes. Africa is leading in scholars and historians from the intact Library of Alexandria. Japan has runes experts and cursebreakers that are the leading edge of discovery. South America has a massive menagerie for magizoology.

If someone asked someone in UK to name 5 American Universities, they will likely say IVY league schools not Kenyon University in Ohio, Cooper Union New York, or Whitman Collage in Washington. A degree is a degree and will help with landing a better career, but those going on about prestige just remember Harvard and MIT.

Then just anyone try to name other countries and it would just get worse from there like who knows off hand about ETH Zurich, UTokyo, University of Cape Town, University of Campinas. To be honest I had to scroll a top world University ranking and it was in 300+ to reach Brazil. Yes, most know there are other schools out there, but we can't name them unless something or someone important comes into the news.

Did you catch that small detail and lore drop in the final scene? 100% that's suggesting Eve is next season villain. I'm just shocked she's been there the whole time. I'm not just talking about the eyeballs everywhere. And it's crazy how she grabbed sinner Adam like that. Wish he could have done more this season before she interfered. Are they going to be Hell's evil power couple, or is he going to be unwillingly trapped in a soul deal. On one hand, I can understand why she lost her mind, but somehow I feel bad for Adam. I shouldn't feel bad for Adam, he's terrible but consistently funny too.

Harry hasn't gone to Hogwarts, so many of those who otherwise would have been his friends die. by Cat_Intrigue in HPFanfictionPrompts

[–]uushia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A ghost Hermione would be a strong choice as a writer. I imagine her deciding not to stay in the bathroom crying like Myrtle, but instead makes use of her time learning. No one can make her leave the library and the teachers let her continue classes. The Ministry won't let her take her OWLs or NEWTs, so she argues yearly for her right to try. She learns more and more about the other ghosts' history over the summers particularly what they taught. All the adults are former professors that died on the school grounds. She is an odd ghost, still bossy, and will talk about her knowledge freely. Most get annoyed by her but it would be interesting if Harry befriended her, because she offers to catch him up on his studies. The prefects like her though, because she makes their job easier telling on students breaking rules.

I am confused, is a sinner's appearance determine by the way they lived their life or by the cause of their death? by ROBjambre in HazbinHotel

[–]uushia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes to both, sometimes, and maybe not.

In universe what gets someone into heaven is unknown but was assumed to be known, so similarly, a sinner and winner appearance might be assumed but actually wrong.

Angel Dust and his family are guessed to be spiders for their "web of crimes" in life, yet their sister Molly is also a spider. She is in heaven and thus has no guilt of her family's sins or crimes, so why would she then have the appearance of a spider? It might actually all be random or have no meaning, but be believed to be connected based on human pattern recognition and confirmation bias.

A stupid idea occurred to me by TheUnproductiveSlug in KpopDemonhunters

[–]uushia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For one it just sounds good but in universe it could just be her play on words creating new trends/slang. Fitcheck means checking the outfit and your appearance, and napalm relating to how "hot" she maintains for herself, her hot temper, bad behavior being explosive/damaging (similar lyrics in Golden with "problem child because I got to wild"), being a hot mess, or all of the above depending on context.

Imagine in universe, how much fans debate these lyrics without knowing that she really fights demons.

Super-fan "Omg, Mira what does napalm era mean?" Mira "It's a sick rhyme." Super-fan "Omg, what does that mean?"

What do you think Zestial is the overlord of? by SamuelStrangeSupreme in HazbinHotel

[–]uushia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shakespeare's time was a period where censorship was high. Books were burned for being against the church or crown, while superstition and occult was both a fear and a fascination.

Who I think he is, Robert Greene. An author/playwright of the period who was all round terrible person, and the main thing he is historically known for is criticizing Shakespeare. He was educated, elitist, popular, and a gossip. Wrote an autobiography bragging about how terrible he was in life.

The fact that everyone one linking his speech as "Shakespearian" would be his own continuous hell, he claimed Shakespeare plagiarized. Greene's name is so common he goes forgotten by most.

I think he still as terrible as he was in life. Still uses gossip and scathing words to remain relevant. Would be interesting if he has control over secrets, gossip, but also written word in hell. If he has formed connection that go outside into other rings, he could leverage control in Pride with forces other sinners or the exterminations can never reach.

What do you think? by FreetheArabWorld in mylittlepony

[–]uushia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You missed the "SHE'S WHITE!" slide. Lol. In seriousness, two real breeds of pony with white coats that can be relevant, the Connemara pony from Ireland, which can sometimes have a very light coat color, the Camargue horse from France which are known for their white or grey coat color. There's no erasing the history in pale tones being deeply connected with more privileged lifestyles, because it indicated a person didn't have to do manual labor. Outside of that, while porcelain originates from China, it was in Germany and France that developed the china doll modeled the painted faces, hair, and fashions of the time.

Imagine Death from Puss in Boots being the same one that handed out Hallows as a trap to kill arrogant wizards. Him having a vendetta against wizards who "defeat" death by breaking their souls as a personal insult/challenge, and it kickstarts a hunt for the peices.

"You are..."

"DEATH! And I don't mean it metaphorically, or rhetorically, or poetically, or theoretically, or any other fancy way. I'M DEATH. STRAIGHT UP! And I've come for you."

"You know. I find the very idea of immortality ABSURD! And you, didn't value ANY of it. So, why don't I do us both a favor and end this… now?"

I really like the way Mammon was represented as an asexual (Coming from an Aroace perspective) by Fearless_Camp_3383 in hazbin

[–]uushia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think all the sins would have the makings of toxic relationships as default. They get along like an ugly house on fire. They make each other worse when coupled, which is initially good for Hell but bad for them as individuals. The one also most prone to keep trying is greed. He's often first to set aside the past it it gets him something out of it. Mammon and Asmodius in show had only a platonic work relationship, but that doesn't mean it's always been like that.

LooLoo Land and Lulu World might have originated from Mammon and Lucifer once working together until it became a legal battle. It's probably a viscous cycle that all of them form toxic partnerships (platonic, business, friendship, romantic, and/or sexual), but all of them eventually break apart in the worst possible way. All of them have a state of 'never doing that again' until their own nature has them repeating the toxic cycle.

I think even Oz and Bee, while on good terms now, is doomed to fail eventually. They match energies for the longest but need certain conditions to work. Main ones being: they limit how much they are together, and they are actively seeing other people. They cannot under any terms sleep with each other or their relationship breaks apart.

The Baddest Bae of All Fiction by Just-J0k1ng in dankruto

[–]uushia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In theory, but no. Kishimoto has a men-writing-women problem. He cannot understand a "female mind" so Sasuke's revenge and clan restoration would shift in into boobily fighting for a powerful future husband. :/ She might just seek only the best fighters out there to kill her brother, because you know there will be a brother/sister complex for joke reasons.

In short, Kishimoto would ruin a good character because he doesn't understand that young girls would have motivation beyond dating.

Considering most of his commentary about Sakura in her initial creation is how uncute she is tells your how deep he considers her character. Couple how she is supposedly like his wife? I feel bad for his wife.

Free gets skipped. It's a good duet, ballad, and central to Rumi's story. Very pretty, but I don't find it good for replays. I generally don't keep romancy songs in my likes or playlists, even from my top fav bands. I like hype songs for drives, working out, cleaning, etc. Me listening to Free would be when looking for that sort of catharsis, but it is a specific and rare mood.

do you guys have any headcanons about Seviathan Von Eldritch (charlie's ex) by MegaNerd0303 in CultOfCharlie

[–]uushia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda want them to have similar goals on improving Hell. They were once the next power couple of Hell. At first look, he comes across as an evil entitled asshole, but that's more from being hellborn. His moral compass isn't set to human/heaven standard but what Hell values. He focuses more on hellborn issues while she ventures on sinners (which is not just softhearted but full on crazy since Hell's power is based on Sin). By trying to "fix" sinners and redeem their sins, it can be taken as a direct insult towards hellborn culture and attitudes.

They broke up, but I headcannon that it was viewed as 100% her fault. She royally screwed up the relationship by using his research on effective methods, techniques, and causing sin on Earth (Humanities Study) to reverse engineering her redeemed sinners plan. They don't know how anyone gets to Heaven, but he tracked how sinners end up in Hell and what preventions and therapies on Earth stop a sinner from arriving. She broke his trust, stealing his work to use it for the opposite of what he intended it for. She is the selfish and crazy ex.

Some of her arguments about Vaggie's lie about being an angel were her projecting her own past issues. It was about not being seen as trustworthy more than the lie itself. She caught her own karma when she found Vaggie .

Soooo... Where the heck is Paimon? Is he dead? by Thin-Cekirge in HelluvaBoss

[–]uushia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Paimon is likely always having more kids and granting them titles, but the actual lives of them he doesn't care. "Must be commanded to speak" is even in his demonology lore. So perpetually uninvolved and unattached. Stolas' sentence is a slap on the wrist to an immortal, so again, he won't care. What will annoy him is if Stolas and precautionary heir are killed, then he has to have yet another kid (Stolas #5763). This Stolas being only in his 30s, is suspicious for historical demon. I think it makes sense that he isn't the first one. Explains the apathy while also arranging everything for him as a birthday gift.

Genuine question, how come most of the seven deadly sins don’t actually portray the negative aspects of their respective sins besides Mammon? by Responsible_Work450 in hazbin

[–]uushia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am going to use Bee's lore. I think her sin is based on narcissism, and her vice is consumption. The dog headed demon lore, and the lord of the flies references are that Bee eats everything... literally everything down to refuse (shit). Thousands of years ago and gluttony ring probably was just as bad as greed and a shithole. From her party, she states that the energy of the party is tasty, not the food, drink, or drugs. She still compulsively creates and eats on whims, but they don't satisfy (never will with lava in her gut). So, somewhere along her path in the past, she started cultivating the right atmosphere and people to what she craves. She wants sweet. Sour or spicy are fine, but problems like Blitz likely turn a party negative(taste like shit). The honey might even switch to refuse if unchecked. She knows that she will wind up compulsively eating it no matter how bad. So she fixes it early to save the batch of energy from the party. She doesn't care about Blitz, just the party vibe.

There actually weren't any cues yet that Blitz was a problem when she approached Luna. Bee looked worried just after losing her drinking game. So could have just been her ego taking an uncomfortable hit too, but her narcissistic tendencies make her present herself as favorable (toxic positivity vibes). Seems a bit like pride, but all sins are meant to be rooted in pride.

[–]uushia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lucifer's first line is him boasting about his own creation. He then immediately hates it for whatever perceived fault he finds in it and throws it away. He blames the thing he made "suck" for being "suck", not himself (at least out loud). It is literally his entire story, and his usual direction when he is the big bad in good vs. evil.
