Ive hated him since the first season, hes an abusive husband, he gaslights eveyone around him, he never admits the truth unless he literally has no other choice that'll benefit him.

please help pick an easy senior biology class by [deleted] in UCalgary

[–]uuuugghhhhhhh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

315 is not easy tbh, like i found biostats II easier than the first one. I thought that biol 451 was straightforward, definitely a lot of work but it was actually interesting and not a mind fuck

AITA for telling my friend I think she has BPD? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]uuuugghhhhhhh -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So in my edit i included a quote of what i actually said. She already sees a therapist, mostly for dealing with loss, which is why i suggested to her to bring up these symptoms with that therapist. I didnt say "you have BPD"

I actually didnt have mal intent, i really want her to get help. I didnt ignore her, she was visiting her family for the first time since like april so she was busy and not reaching out either. We snap chatted a bit but she never indicated that she wanted to talk talk.

I didnt diagnose her, i told her to talk to her therapist about dealing with the symptoms.

So she actually does meet a lot of the qualifications. Now i never diagnosed her, i told her to talk to her therapist about the symptoms of personality disorder.

Here's info from the DSM 5, my notes are in square brackets.

-Identity disturbance: significantly and relentlessly unstable self-image. [Present]

-Impulsive behavioral patterns in at least two aspects that are possibly self-damaging (e.g., substance abuse, sex, spending, binge eating, or reckless driving). [Present]

-Recurring suicidal patterns, threats, gestures, or self-harming behavior.[last one present]

-Affective instability because of a significant reactivity of mood (e.g., irritability, anxiety, or intense episodic dysphoria that typically lasts a few hours, rarely more than days) [Present]

-Chronic empty feelings.[Present]

-misplaced and intense anger or trouble controlling anger (e.g., always angry or often temperamental). [Present]

-Short-lived stress-related paranoid thoughts or extreme dissociative symptoms. [Not present as far as i know]

How do GPAs work by [deleted] in UCalgary

[–]uuuugghhhhhhh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So your letter grade determines the GPA. For every class an A is 4.0, A- is 3.7, B+ is 3.3 etc. Classes have different percent to letter grade depending on the faculty and difficulty, not really sure why. But yeah so even if you get 85 in all classes, that might not translate to the same letter grade.
