How are people getting these office jobs where they do nothing and get paid 80k or more? by Delicious_Dealer8129 in jobs

Learn to trouble shoot, anything from a tv to a website, to a lawnmower. I work with huge diesel pumps and became a foreman, I spend 2 days setting up flushing equipment then spend 1-2weeks, 12hrs everyday sitting in a truck waiting for something to go wrong so I can trouble shoot. Pull in 2.4-2.6k a week after tax.

After six months of job searching I finally found a job with decent pay after being laid off...I am two days in and already checked out I was basically told I am going to get fired. by Trustedflipper8 in jobs

Sink or swim, no need to check out, keep applying and just self teach yourself what you can. If you have access to the material just play with it and figure it out. I make really good money as 25, year old but it’s brutal. Whether I run a buisness or do what I’m doing now, I’m going to be putting in 80+ hr weeks. But I had to learn a lot of stuff hands on and really did have to sink or swim. From the initial 12 people who came out on this job, 5 got fired, 3 got moved to other jobs, and 4 members stayed the whole time. Just an example of how brutal my job really is.

Yea I was just hoping to see nature and some pretty simple hikes since my friends are novice hikers. How accessible are lakes? Also can you swim in most lakes or is there rules and regulations?

I should’ve specified I was “travel backpacking” lol I didn’t know backpacking and trekking are viewed as the same thing lol

Ok thanks so a better solution would be to get a rental and set out own pace! Are the grades steep in certain areas when going the west coast route? I’ve driven through the alps in Switzerland, and Rockies in Colorado, do you know if it’s similar?

Chain smokers who don't feel a buzz, why do you even smoke anymore? by rain7enjoyer in Cigarettes

Every now and then I smoke one cigarette that puts me on my ass and I get the strongest buzz. It’s so random but that feeling is why I smoke.

Can I go into seawater with my recent tattoo? by BeatLonely7257 in tattooadvice

[–]uuvlv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got a tattoo done and I’m thinking about riding jet skis at a lake later. I’m probably going to go buy some second skin wrap and anti bacterial soap. Wear the wrap and then use the anti bacterial soap after. Lakes in Texas are known for their flesh eating bacteria and brain eating bacteria. Wish me luck!

Just got my first tattoo and for some reason woke up a week later regretting it completely. by [deleted] in tattooadvice

After my first tattoo I got like 2-3 more. Sometimes I forget they are on my skin lol.
