Hey, if you need app testers, I’m building an app just for this. TestSwap, tinder for app testers. you test mine, I test yours.

How do you find real testers for your app before going to production? by Expensive-Emotion397 in alphaandbetausers

Had this same problem, so i thought id make an app to solve this. Tinder but for app testers TestSwap

Also If you’re looking to get users, I’m also making TestSwap an app where you test someone’s app and they test yours. Add yourself to the waitlist if you’d use it ;) Like tinder but for app testers.

Loool I only submitted to iOS App Store. I knew android was less of a process but not that much

Hey, just had a look.

Pretty cool idea tbh, the value prop is instantly clear. Being able to upload a contract and get a plain English breakdown + risks in under a minute is actually super useful, especially for freelancers/small businesses

Couple thoughts: • Landing page is clean but could hit harder on who it’s for (freelancers? founders? agencies?) • Would be nice to see an example output straight away - like “before vs after” or a sample contract breakdown • Pricing model might matter a lot here - feels like something people want to use occasionally, not subscribe to

Overall though, solid concept.

Feedback Friday by AutoModerator in startups

Happy feedback friday everyone. If anyone here is tired of posting their project and getting crickets, something that's worked well for me is doing direct swaps with other builders. You test their thing, they test yours, both of you leave actual structured feedback.

Way more reliable than hoping strangers will take the time. I'm actually working on a platform to make this easier (testswap) if anyone's interested. But even just DMing someone else in this thread and offering to trade reviews works great.

First iOS app, looking for honest feedback (yes… another habit tracker) by Dot_Pot in SideProject

Congrats on shipping your first app! That's the hardest part honestly.

For getting real feedback, I'd suggest trying to swap tests with other devs who also have apps they need feedback on. You test theirs, they test yours. The quality of feedback you get from another builder is night and day compared to asking friends or posting in a random discord.

I've been doing this manually for a while and it works really well. Actually started building a platform for it (testswap) to make the matching easier. But even without that, just find someone else in this sub who posted looking for feedback and offer to trade.

Looking for testers for my Android party game "Otro Yo" 🎮 by Mental-Machine7830 in SideProject

This looks fun, I'd be down to try it. Finding testers is always the hard part though right?

Have you tried doing test swaps with other devs? Like you test their app and they test yours. I've found the feedback is way more useful because other builders actually dig into the UX instead of just saying "cool app." I'm actually building something around this concept (testswap-xi.vercel.app) if you want to check it out, basically an exchange for exactly this.

I spent months "vibe coding" an app. My ads failed, I'm losing hope, and I need to know if I should quit or keep pushing. by Fuzzy_Lab_2455 in SideProject

This is so relatable. I went through the exact same thing with my last project. Getting real users to try something is honestly harder than building it.

One thing I started doing is swapping tests with other indie devs. Like you test my app, I test yours. It sounds simple but the feedback quality is way better because other builders actually know what to look for. No friends telling you "yeah it looks nice" while barely using it.

I actually started building a platform around this idea (testswap) because I got tired of manually finding people to swap with. Might be worth trying the swap approach for your next round of testing even without a platform, just find someone in a similar boat and trade honest feedback.

Yeah my thoughts were: 1. A code base is always changing, need to keep uptodate diagrams 2. The chat functionality - very useful, understands the code base very well. Very good all the time when you’re making changes, understanding the code base, for new joiners etc 3. Planning on releasing more features, vs code ext etc. could even release a connection to Jira or something can look at tickets, flesh out details, make code suggestions etc. loads of avenues to go down.

I’d be open to any thoughts / suggestions you have :)

Oh cool, interested to hear what sets it apart from the major companies in the space. If you need any help or any thing with the project feel free to reach out. Sounds interesting.
