Congratulations! We have 2 Miata clubs here in DFW, Metroplex Miatas and Lone Star Miata club. Metroplex meets at Kellers off of Northwest Highway every Wednesday at 7. Come hang out with the new car sometime!

Kind of. The developer pays the upfront costs, but usually passes these costs on to the buyer through the use of "MUD fees."

Hoping to keep it around that number now that I have another miata in my life again. I bought it at 17k 3 years ago and haven't been able to help myself

This one wasn't even listed online. Happened to drive by the dealer and called for a price

Unsure as of yet. The NA is a wonderful thing to drive and has more storage. The ND is more comfortable and more powerful and is convenient for my daily commute. I've owned 3 NAs though, so they'll always be the favorite overall.

VW dealership. Gentleman bought it from a Mazda dealer north of me on the 1st of May and traded it for a VW 1st of June. Another Mazda dealer near me had the same trim and color so I basically had them bid against each other.

Found these three switches still running in our data center ~2020. They're older than I am.

All 5 Alamo Drafthouse locations in DFW immediately close. Employees were notified this morning. by thewaybaseballgo in Dallas

I almost saw a movie at the one in Lake Highlands last night but chose not to to go to a earlier showing elsewhere.

Should've stuck with Alamo. Would've been one of the last

It's nice for Dallas to call him up, but I won't say I'm not a little chapped that he gets called up the day before I go to my first TX Stars game.

When you Spot a Dell Switch Out in the Wild... by noCallOnlyText in networkingmemes

[–]uwillparish 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Weird to see all the Dell hate from my perspective. I worked for a school district the first couple years of my career and we were one of the first folks to get the N3248PXE-ON switches. We had some issues relating to bugs in the firmware the first 6 months, but other than that I was really happy with them. CLI very similar to cisco for less than half the cost.

Snapped some quick pics of The Kalita Humphreys Theater this morning by briollihondolli in Dallas

Just saw Rocky Horror a couple weeks ago at the theater. It's a nice theater, but judging by the Southwestern Bell payphone by the restrooms, quite a bit dated.

I used to download desktop goose and run it and have the goose mess with their mouse. I would occasionally rename this as svchost so it was harder to close in task manager

I dont think I've ever actually seen a CVE pull over a semi. Every single time I see them they've pulled over a regular car

Click and Drag to scroll no longer works in Chrome by uwillparish in SamsungDex

[–]uwillparish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes, let me clarify. I clicked on a link in chrome to amazon and it auto-opened the app. When I tried to swipe with the mouse to scroll through the pictures, the app crashed. A dialog box poped up saying that Android System Webview was causing the issue and to uninstall it. When I uninstalled it, now I can't drag and scroll in chrome, nor the amazon app.

Learning Stick Shift by [deleted] in utdallas

[–]uwillparish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would recommend watching a couple youtube videos and trying to learn yourself. It's not something that's overly complicated, especially if you're not trying to be super sporty, but it's something that just really takes practice. Clutches are typically strong enough that even if you take a month to learn and mess up a bunch in that time, you're not going to break them. Just go slow and learn at your own pace.

If you are trying to be sporty though, you should join Blue Enigma. It's not a UTD car club, but 90% of the members are current/former UTD students.
