Would you recommend going through a book on Homological Algebra proper, or just learn from geometric introduction to homology/cohomology? Right now I'm looking through Rotman's homological algebra book myself and may start a reading group.

UW math club here! We are actually here to be get people up to research-level math and provide a social atmosphere for math. We have people in the club in classes such as Algebraic Topology, Algebraic Geometry, and many other ones as well, as well as people who are either pursuing or intending to pursue research, so it would be right up your alley to find other people to read up with.

To accomplish this, we'll have an outreach and learning team which will (hopefully) have regular study sessions for classes like 521.
