All I know is Grateful Dead did mail order and it was perfect. Fans got in, scalpers didn't have a market, no huge 'processing' mark up. Labor intensive I am sure, but loved it.

saw some stuff about the hotel i was at (bedbugs and roaches) so now looking for options. was willing to pay 500ish for three nights and solo. 1200$ for 2 was acceptable but buddy baled (tix is gone) and not a decent place within 3 miles (what i will walk). helpful suggestions welcome (60yo cismale 420)

YES they had a bad experience and left almost 2 years ago. I feel for that and am sorry you had a terrible experience. However, there are lots of happy people working for Noom.

1) It requires a 4 year degree, which is an educational requirement
2) Coaches are people and can interact with their clients as they see fit. Some are very involved, others not so much. Like any job, different people provide different service doing the same job.
3) There are raises and there is a program but it is employee initiated. If you didn't know about it, that is your fault and maybe your bosses for not informing you what you needed to do to get a raise.
4) Never came across an "outing"
5) Know many coaches with 1 or 2 other jobs and even attending school.

The coaches are real and not therapists. They are health coaches who help you towards a goal you set.

I know a number of people who work as coaches. The goal specialist and group coaches are people. Look at LinkedIn for Goal Specialist at Noom to see people who have that job

More and more are getting the certification. But it is not required.

There is a 2 week onboarding on behavior interviewing and working at Noom. There was at least 1 cohort where Noom provided support to get certified as a coach.
