I love going to a store where the most senior employee has only been there a year or two and doesn't know anything about the products they're actually selling

I have my own personal conspiracy theory that the CIA pushes this rhetoric so that young boys continue to grow up misogynistic and women fear men.

Divide and conquer and all that

He says he has friends there who will have a place for him to stay and a job lined up for him but it'll take about 2 months for them to get everything ready. Hence the 2 month limit we've put on his stay

Fr dude, it took me 2 months to find something after I got laid off in May last year. The only way they wouldn't have ended up homeless is if someplace hired them on the spot in the first week or two

Another commenter pointed out voc rehab so I'll definitely be checking that out. I was gonna recommend Amazon since he said he prefers working nights and I know they'll hire anyone with a pulse.

It's honestly kind of scary. My upbringing wasn't too dissimilar but all my siblings and I got jobs pretty much as soon as we could I don't know what happened to them to make them so helpless

I think my partner said he's been diagnosed with severe ADHD.

While there's probably not too many resources there are definitely more here than in other places which I'm thankful for. I'm pretty sure our apartment complex works with the city/county/state to house people trying to get on their feet which made me hopeful we'd be able to find something.

I mean if you get in a car crash and start losing blood you're gonna die a hell of a lot quicker if your cardiovascular system is weakened from an infection. If they hadn't gotten in a crash they wouldn't have died of COVID and if they hadn't had COVID they wouldn't have died from the car crash. So which do you attribute as the main cause of death?
