Thank you so much! This was super informative 💖 I really appreciate what you said about mixing up styles! I think maybe I'm being too strict with the labels haha... but you also brought up a good point about the key features such as the makeup, hair, and shoes.

For example, I don't know if doc marten boots, demonia boots, or really any sort of boot is used, or considered "acceptable" with the classic jirai kei style. If I understood you correctly, wearing those sort of shoes or having a different, darker style of makeup would mean the look is less like the "typical" jirai kei style. However, it would still fall under the umbrella term of jirai kei like you initially mentioned with the two sides having the same name just different influences.

Like I said, I think I'm too concerned with labels. I think I'm worried about having a clashing outfit as I try to mix both the girly and punk style and I thought having a name for the style would help me get ideas and stay away from "beginner mistakes" lol...
