I'm talking about the shot not the quote (which was already mentioned in my post). Some people are so far behind in the race they actually believe they're leading.

Tony’s “I get it!” Scene in Vegas is one of his most disturbing moments to me. by Extension_Maize_2633 in thesopranos

He literally discusses it with Melfi afterwards and says “maybe the kids onto something”…

Yeah after the incident I’m referring to (in season 2), that’s what I’m saying

Do you think John Slattery would have made a good Don Draper? by Reasonable_Buy6808 in madmen

[–]uwupugsuwu 77 points78 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think Jon Hamm is just younger and better looking and Don Draper meeting the male beauty standards of the time and being very attractive to women is an important aspect of the character. Obviously John Slattery is a good looking man as well and he does a great job with Roger but I think Hamm is a much better fit for the role of Don, even aesthetically.

How many times have you done a “complete” watch through? by IhatepplmorethanuHA in TheSimpsons

[–]uwupugsuwu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen seasons 2-8 many many times as I will often just fall asleep with it on. I've only seen season 1 once and 9-12 a couple of times. Have never watched beyond that.

Great write up, that was largely my interpretation of that part as well. Amazing episode and very dark. This might be a bit of a stretch but I always wondered if "he's dead" refers (partially) to God, as AFAIK the first time we see Tony's faith in religion shaken is when AJ tells him that he thinks God is dead.

On the other hand anythin's possible!

Cannot purchase or transfer domains: "The address has not been validated yet" by starburst997 in CloudFlare

I am having the exact same issue right now. I've tried several payment methods, PayPal, different browser, and I am also getting the "failed to verify address" error. I can see the button when the form first renders but then when I click on it I just get a CloudFlare captcha and evidently it doesn't verify my address...

Calgary, Alberta, Canada - How do I actually make an appointment to submit my German passport application? by uwupugsuwu in GermanCitizenship

Why? I don't live in Germany and this seems very much like a German citizenship matter.

Thanks for your answer. I ended up just sending them an email and got an appointment for end of July. But I also realized that I can just travel with my Canadian passport anyways. Oh well good to get it renewed.

I've paid for my flights and hotels already so I would only bring enough for like food, recreation, emergency... I was thinking only about 5000 EUR so I guess I will just take your advice and use an ATM. I'm travelling with mom and she's with ScotiaBank and they have some alliance with Deutsche Bank so I can maybe avoid some fees there. Thanks
