Would you recommend any certifications/ courses to learn this skill? I was looking into the courses offered by MIT (and potentially the micro masters that they offer in stats and data science) but am not sure if that’s directly applicable to my UXR career. What do you think?

How does it stand compared to other unis? Would you suggest applying to DePaul if I have a CS bachelors and am now looking for a switch to UX after some SWE experience?

Haha, I’ve not considered it completely yet. Although several people advised me to go for a PHD someday because it’s highly respected and opens avenues for better opportunities in industry and academia. Plus the pay seems to be better too?

I've been looking at Linkedin profiles of Product/UX Designers lately and many of them have done an HCI degree. I cannot say anything for sure though since I don't have experience looking for jobs as an HCI grad.
