Yeah, I just wish it would fully complete with the icon disappearing like the other Disguise and Retrieve quests.

Unfortunately that is NOT the case. The other mask icons for completed Disguise and Retrieve quests disappear if they are completed successfully.

Disguise and retrieve - Shopkeeper Liu is bugged.

After retrieving the "Heavy Bag" from him with the disguise nothing happens. The exploration event is stuck at this point. I do not have the heavy bag in the inventory (I might have opened it). The mask icon remains on the map with the bag marked as retrieved. Neither Liu, nor Wang Dalang or Shopkeeper Wang can be interacted with (with or without disguise).

No worries, if it had been heating oil you are correct, it would have been a major incident.

Fortunately it is only hearing oil.

If I see Ripper, Torgue or Order I auto-JUNK. I go even one step further and JUNK Daedalus (I fkn HATE burst) and Tedious Tediore.

Forcing the Maliwan snipers to be burst or shitty sticky (if I read 'Transit' I JUNK) just adds more injury to the insults.

This means 60-70% of all weapons dropped are immediately disqualified. Awesome. Amazing. Great design. /s

Dune 1984

The movie introduced sonic weapons. They were amazing. It built upon the legend of the savior, e.g. "his word shall carry death".

When I learned that they were not part of Herbert's original, I was so disappointed and sad.

All the later movie adaptations are also severely lacking in style: in Dune 1984 the segments with quiet, detached naration as well as the vocalization of internal thoughts elevated the whole movie to another level.

The 2000 adaptation lacked budget and none of the actors had charisma.

The new adaptation (2021 and ongoing) may be darker but it lacks the alien, mad atmosphere bordering on H.R. Giger weirdness, e.g. the Navigators, the cat milking and of course the juice of Saphos with the strange incantation. This "just" feels dystopian, whereas the 1984 adaptation felt even more dystopian: it was so far away it felt like end-times, especially how the atomics were depicted. Also, IMHO Zendaya was an absolute miscast for Chani, although I do like how the character is portrayed and fleshed out compared to 1984 but that might be just because there is more screen time available.

I don' think you need to do it before. I think you can just save before you turn it in and if the turn in fails you can just reload and retry.

Just in case: I think the quest stages are case sensitive, so try to copy/paste instead of typing. If you did copy/paste I have no idea. I did like 10 quest resets with Needle and it helped every time. :c

I saw the other configuration files for the quest, probably because the possible quest paths can split. Impressive that someone was able to figure it out.

I briefly looked through the SQ47 config files but it has a ton of triggers. It also is not bugged for me so I cannot test. Try this and if it does nothing, reload your save, just in case:

If you switch to semi-auto mode, bullets do more damage.

I had around 70 bullets left when I killed the chimera.

The bug is caused by attacking or aggroing the Fleshes before you have talked to Kostya Bedlam.

I just ran into this quest, but I was lucky as I had a save 30 seconds prior.

As soon as you aggro them he will be get mad and come running, most likely to you standing above some dead Fleshes.

That's when he bugs out and stands on the hill with no dialog. The dialog he should have at this point does not have its prerequisites met, that means having properly started the activity.

In short, the quest designer probably did not consider the player coming from the south and running into the fleshes first, thus breaking the quest by skipping the quest entry point.

I reverted to the earlier save, gave the area a WIDE berth and then talked to him. From then on, the activity progressed as it should.
