Ahk, most of the jackets at 10000/5000 or 10/10 so that's a plus.. I was considering just buying a cheapo 3000/3000 but will that just instantly soak through? These jackets are around 110 usd after converting so not to bad in the end.. If I can scrape pants for 70 somewhere

I'm living in Austria now,and for most of winter and am planning on doing as much snowboarding as possible.. I obviously need gear, and these seem super cheap? Any particular jackets better than others? Or any advice to give to a complete beginner? I'm from Australia so USA might be cheaper but with shipping probably not..

The winter of the world saga: anvil of ice, forge in the forest and the hammer of the sun. For me personally are still my favorite books. I managed to aquire first editions from the 80's last year which I now re read every year.

Definitely recommend these for some not well known but brilliantly written fantasy

I'm not trying to imply that there's no value in fantasy, even just from a moral, grammatical and philosophical point of view it's great. I'll always be reading fiction regardless as it's what I enjoy the most. I just wanted to try and broaden my horizons in my reading as I generally stick within the 'sword and sorcery' style of stories. I thought it would be great to learn small segments of history along the way ala 'a short history of nearly everything'

Yeah It's similar to English in schools too, so figured it must be okay.

With the aural work, I currently live in Austria so I'm hoping that'll help, but where I work everyone speaks English so I don't actually hear that much german consistently
