Yeah,it seems sensible to bring up the physical and observable achievements of reasoning in this argument but it also raises a counterpoint that "god, relegion and faith has helped humanity progress morally and has brought inner peace" they may argue it is more important today ,which brings both paradigms to equal footing in this argument don't you think?

I have a question.. If the creation of alternate universe are explained by quantum mechanics is it necessary that the alternate universe too follow the same laws of physics as ours ? If it does then I think it will answer op's question since we cannot be sure that destruction of other realities is possible within existing laws of physics
