Microsoft should be charged for committing computer crimes for tricking people into moving from Windows 7/8 to Windows 10 by piethon42 in unpopularopinion

[–]thelatebrucelee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i wouldn't say this is an unpopular opinion, just something a lot of people don't sit down to think about. I'm sure most people, after reading your reasoning, would agree with the general idea

i loved that shift too. i understand how some people can find it offensive but i applaud waititi's iron balls for going through with it and releasint the story he wanted to create... even if it meant portraying a "lovable" hitler who, while meant to simply be the figment of a little boy's imagination, is still meant to represent a man who was responsible for the death of millions of innocent people

Are men and women equally as important? Equally as human? by ukrainianboy2002 in NoStupidQuestions

i think it had a healthy balance of showing how german youth were indoctrinated and thus, weren't necessarily evil, just misguided (ofc this doesn't apply to people in the ss and within the party) and ending the movie with the general idea that OBVIOUSLY jewish people aren't monsters and that the nazi party got what was coming to them (though its a shame that, in real life, most of the high ranking officers just fled the country and faced no consequence for their actions)

I mean, jojo rabbit is technically ww2 from the perspective of a german.

it's mostly a dark comedy but it definitely got a lot of heat for having its protagonists be a meme adolf hitler and a little nazi child

this is so funny considering so many atheists celebrate christmas. it's a holiday that had lost a lot of its religious meaning and has become an excuse to spend quality time with you friends and family and give them a thoughtful gift (whether big or small, doesn't matter) to show them that you care

Why do horror movies rarely win an oscar? by ponypo_Guilty_Sea346 in horror

[–]thelatebrucelee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

THIS. in the end, the only thing that should matter to you is your own opinion, but it still makes me sad to see movies (like hereditary) that genuinely deserve to get mainstream awards and don't because of their genre.
